Re: Source control (TFS) and moving project's local location
I would tend to go for option 2 (although we use SVN rather than TFS). You need to ensure all files are checked in beforehand so all files are in the repository.
In terms of your GPL project, though, I'd be inclined to store that on a networked drive rather than on your C:\. Although if your ...

Check your Partial Word Search settings as well (Performance tab of the HTML5 target). Having this set increases the size of the help.

Hi Shawn,

Re: Flare 12: Can't check-in subset of changed files
There were some users who had experienced problems running Flare 12 in a non-Windows 10 environment (Flare 12 has both 32-bit and 64-bit installs available). I'm certainly not saying that is the cause of any problems, but it is something to be mindful of.oceanclub wrote:Windows 7 Enterprise, 64 bit

Re: Flare 12: Can't check-in subset of changed files
I'm using SVN (Subversion). I'm unsure if that would make a difference to the dialog.
It could be you need to reinstall .NET or reinstall Flare.

Re: Flare 12: Can't check-in subset of changed files
When I select Source Control > Commit All , the dialog box lists all changed files. I'm not sure how I select only some files to check in. To the top-left of the list, there's a checkbox with no label or pop-up description. Turning this on or off doesn't seem to do anything. I tried highlighting in ...

Hi Kai, I'd look at saving a project as a template project.

I agree, it would be nice to have Flare a little more intuitive.

Re: Feature request - edit/save Project Importer topics
As long as it is an option. Your suggestion makes sense for solo authors, but in a team who share files, I'd rather others weren't randomly updating topics that I use in my project. We use Project linking to try to keep things more standard and avoid the ad hoc changes.

Re: Feature request - edit/save Project Importer topics
Great suggestion. The file is already connected so it shouldn't be difficult to push it back to the original.
I wonder if it's connected to Source Control whether that would make a difference?

This relates to Source Control and indicates that you have renamed one of your files.

Hi TeSol,
It won't be an issue with Flare being 32-bit and you running Windows 8.1 64-bit. I am running Flare 11 (also 32-bit) and Windows 10 64-bit and using TortoiseSVN 1.8.12.26645 (64-bit).
Also, Flare 10 is compatible with SVN 1.8.

My understanding is it is all automagically done. :P
If you have a global dictionary and a project dictionary, Flare checks both when performing a spell check.

Re: Has MadCap moved to 64-bit apps now?
When it was released yesterday, I saw in the trial d/l for Flare 12 that it said the file size was 700MB. When I downloaded it was around 350MB - perhaps there is meant to be an .exe with both. Today, the trial link explicitly states it is 64-bit and for 32-bit users to contact Madcap.
