Has anybody got any new additions to some published Flare docs? Unfortunately my company still doesn't allow me to publish docs on the web (it's coming... slowly... in a future version).

My understanding, from Flare, is that you can activate the Flare licence twice - as long as it's not on the same domain. So if you activate it at work and at home, you should be able to use both. What I don't know is if you can use the same licence at the same time.

Unless I'm missing something, the only thing major thing I was after was highlighting of the HTML5 text during a search.

Not sure if this will work, but you can try:

1. In the HTML5 target, click the Performance tab.
2. Tick the Include Stop-Words in Search option.
3. Re-compile and try your search again.

Gary, be sure you also require that IE8 NOT be running your help in Compatibility View, which essentially turns IE8 into IE7. This setting won't even recognize many of the long-established CSS3 specifications that other browsers do, let alone the anticipated HTML5/WebHelp 2.0 features.

It could be my coding (and it probably is), but viewing images using the traditional webhelp (larger images on smaller screen resolutions) was terrible (the whole image would not be displayed). When alt-tabbing between Flare and any other app, the cursor in Flare loses focus. This wasn't the case with v7. It's been confirmed by MC. If anybody else finds this an issue I'd ask that you submit it as a bug.

Awesome suggestion. We're in the same boat - busy writing and don't have time for skin redesigns.

I believe this was fixed in v7 (or 7.1 or 7.2). My conditions are listed in alphabetical order and it retains the last selection.

Our company stills wants to move to .Net for our help but we don't think Flare is 100% ready so we've opted for webhelp as a replacement for CHM.

I've had small video issues in Flare v7.0.x as well. Including a disappearing scroll bar specifically for the Content Explorer and typing delay every 20 characters or so.

New graphics drivers didn't do anything.

Have you considered taking the information out of a table and using CSS styles to format the output instead?
