Unfortunately Flare does not support multiple columns.

Re: Problems w/running H/F in Word
Hi Abby,
I think your idea of creating a new masterpage is the way to go. If you have some form of corruption that might help. Creating a new project is a harsh step to take, but if you do try to get running h/f working on a small project and the try importing your content - it will save a bit of ...

I particularly liked Shogun, and Gai Jin sets up where the characters in Noble House come from. Didn't think much of King Rat, and Whirlwind got tedious.

Re: Conditional tags disappear from imported .flmsp files
I have noticed if you apply a condition and remove it the condition doesnt get removed, just the property. So you end up with madcap.conditions="". Then if you reapply or add condtitions a new declaration is added. This leads to the effect Matt has reported, rather than a plain red square (if red is ...

Reading yor replies I think you are doing the right thing, so it may be an issue due to the import from AuthorIT.

Rather than selecting text, you can just click anywhere in the paragraph (don't double click). In the styles pane (or the drop down styles list at top left of screen) you should see the heading and paragraph styles and be able to apply them.

Hi Shalini,
Thanks for letting us know it all worked out!
As Lisa suggested, performance is markedly better if your source and destination are on the local hard drive, if you are using network locations you might want to move everything local for even faster compilation.

Its a mongrel when that happens. Still, it could be worse - you could be authoring in Word. That does have auto-save, but it crashes so often its not funny (I know, I'm doing some work in Word at the moment)

The {b}{/b} tags show in the printed output. Guess it's back to the drawing board.
Its a pain, to be sure.

Hi Kevin, the font is returning in Verdana and 12 pt, just like the bullet would if it wasn't in a table cell. The only change is the indent. I use pt only, so I didn't think a complex selector was required.

After using source control for a while, I have to agree with Andrew.
Source control is really (IMHO) by programmers, for programmers. Give the complexity of their work, the ability to roll back a couple of days wotk is vital.
But, given the nature of our work, a quick rewrite of a body of text can ...

Think of the dot net frameworks as tool boxes.
There is a little commonality, but each version of the dot net frameworks is a different set of tools. You need 1 & 2, and 3 will become a prerequisite for more and more software as time goes by.

I'll reply to myself: it turns out that some unknown hand (not me) had created a Master Page that had no details for where to put the content. I changed it to default, and everything works. It would have been nice to have received an "Error" saying "Master Page has no defined place for content", or ...
