Re: RED Index keywords
Have you tried the keywordlink section in the stylesheet? If you open the stylesheet editor in simple mode you should see any class etc that has a red colour.
That isn't what you need to do, the keywordLink style is for the keyword link help control.

Copy and paste anyway and fix the formatting in the Flare topic (for small amounts of text).
I normally use this method - it allows me to apply the format I need as well as paragraph breaks, soft returns, lists, etc.
It's much the same as pasting in Word and using Paste Special -> Unformatted ...

Kevin,
Tried it, but no dice. Thanks for the response. The search continues. My web guy here says he has never seen such an animal, but I swear that I've run across it, just can't remember where (and not necessarily in Flare).

Re: Flare 3.1 fails to install in Parallels
And make sure you get .NET 2.0 in that Boot Camp partition. Vista came with .NET 3.0, which I believe works with Flare. I can't remember if XP came with .NET, but if it did, it was probably .NET 1.0. Flare requires .NET 2.0. So you may not have had the correct version of .NET and that's why Flare ...

Re: Create a Notes column in the printout?
Do you have access to the Blaze beta? I haven't had time to play with it, but I think this is exactly the sort of thing that Blaze and Flare 4 should be able to do. Could be worth looking, at least.
That was my thought - the columns feature should be great.

Why not create an empty image with just a border?
Use that as your "notes" area. You may have to play with your style sheet to get it to work, but it should work in principle.

Hi Scott,
Just in case - welcome to the forums.
You have 2 options for single file distribution - printed (pdf/Word) or "compiled" html (chm).
DotNet help does have an internal directory structure.

Several options:
Use the "quick character" option to see if the formula componets are there.
Create an image containing the formula.
Use <pre>formula</pre> to preserve the formatting and "build" the formula manually.
Use alt codes - http://www.coloryourprofyle.com/phade/alt.html is one of many ...

Re: Best Source Control/Backup: Perforce? CVS? Other?
I'd think very carefully about using source control. Most people who are forced to use it find it can be frustrating. It may be because they're forced to use it, or it may be that some source control systems are made by programmers for programmers.
