Have you thought about mapping the drive and folder structure to create a shorter filepath?

Re: Can't build Word target (error 10086, parsing EntityName

Where are you building to?

If the person who created the project has pointed to a local directory, or a network drive they created, do you have the appropriate network privileges to access and create files in that location?

Re: Master Style Sheets.....

Is there another style sheet in use?

In cascading styles if a style is set later in the 'cascade' it will overwrite the earlier instance.

The other gotcha in Flare is setting styles for different media, in effect, the same style sheet uses different settings for print and online output.

Re: How to remove callouts?

You can only remove them from the software used to create them and if you have the 'master' file. If you are using Capture it will be the .props file that should be in the same folder as the image (it will have the same name).

If you don't have the source file you would need some serious image ...

Re: Speed when publishing to Zendesk

You've provided your own answer, Don:

"I have no problems with publishing other content, although that is all published locally"

If you are publishing this content over a network it will be slow. You are better off publishing everything on your machine and then transferring it to the network.

The Microsoft help compiler can be used to decompile or reverse engineer a .CHM file.

The only download link I could find that is active is:

Re: Mimic Does not show screen change

When you are recording a movie it is a good idea to press the Print Screen button on the keyboard before and after performing an action.

This forces a screen capture.

You should end up with a lot of duplicate captures, but it is a simple thing to delete those you don't want.

Re: Custom numbered list

The only control over ordered list numbering is type and value.

Because your numbers are referring to the numbers in a graphic you can create the legend in the graphic as well. That would also have the advantage of keeping the legend with the graphic irrespective of page breaks if you are creating ...

Re: List is not auto numbering

^^^ What Nita said. You're hardcoding the lowercase a.

You can use autonumbering, but that is only necessary if your lists get broken or get continued from another topic (ie a break in your source documents) or you're trying to do some funky formatting.

I'd also suggest you keep your classes etc ...

While its mainly been life as normal in Adelaide, it's great for the fog to be lifting from Melbourne.

it did, however, answer Dan's question about who'd want to live in South Australia. A lot of Victorians, Dan, a lot. We had to lock them up at the border ;-)

Re: Ordered List style question

Your second instance of the higher-level list is a new instance and therefore restarts at one.

You can either create the lower-level list inside the upper-level list tags (ie create a list with items one to three and then insert a new list with 2.2, 2.2, 2.3 etc) or you can hard code the new upper ...

Re: Flare on 32" 4k monitor

As with all monitors don't use Windows scaling. The resolution with screenshots won't change, no matter what resolution you set the monitor at, it will capture at 96 dpi.

Although I have only done limited testing, there are no issues if you keep resolution and scaling standard. Previous experience ...

Re: Changing "Open with" programs on the context menu

Snagit needs to be registered with Windows to appear in context menus.

Try right-clicking a .png file I file explorer and using the 'open with...' command to open it with Snagit, you might have to 'choose another program' and navigate to Snagit.

Should work then, although you might have to do d ...

Re: Nested Lists and paragraphs

There are limitations on formatting ordered and unordered lists (ul and ol).

One workaround is to use autonumber. You can use it to create a numbered element, formatted how you like. You can format whatever follows however you like, and then apply you autonumber to the next numbered element ...

Have you set image size using percentage?

This could lead to low quality resizing.

If you have, try setting image size using a physical size, like 550 pixels to cover a page width.
