Re: Dual Monitors Resize Problem
I use dual monitors the whole time, and I don't have this issue at all.
I just moved the Flare window between monitors, no problem.
Are you sure this issue only happens with Flare? It sounds like more of a Windows issue.

Re: Removing Images
Thanks for the reply Laura, I found a way by accident this morning.
I was deleting the images one by one an accidently clicked on the Images folder and deleted that, so I went into the project Content - Resources folder and added a new empty images folder and put the new images in there.

Re: Changing style for ensuing lines when you hit Enter
I use a lot of styles in Word, but I never have to select them manually, each one has a shortcut.
That's interesting. I've never used that option in Word. I just keep the Styles and Formatting pane open in Word and click on a style if it's something other than the Normal style.

Re: Changing style for ensuing lines when you hit Enter
When I have created a style, say Note, I want the ensuing line to revert to Normal when I press Enter. I can't really figure out where to set the seting for this.

Hi Mike,
We’re trying to duplicate this problem. We’ve found that we can duplicate it in our copy of your project, but we can’t duplicate it in a new project.
Can you tell us the exact steps you went through to create and link the objects?
Thanks,

After my initial negative comments about Mimic vs. Camtasia and Captivate, I feel constrained to set the record straight.
I had a technical issue with capturing movies using Mimic, and that has been resolved. This allowed me to continue my evaluation, and in a very short space of time I realised ...

I'm divided about the Ribbon.
I think it will work very well if one just takes the time to learn where everything is. As has been said before, many of us are very used to the old menus. Also, we just customised a toolbar to show our favorites, and that toolbar didn't move with us - I've sometimes ...

Re: Inserting a bitmap into a movie
You just need to be aware then that all frames in that movie will need to be resized and that means stretching the bitmap background for those frames who do not get a new background. That really just transfers the problem to different frames and may have a way bigger impact than one frame to be in ...

Here's why it went wrong...
The reason I had this issue is that the default size on a new blank movie is not the same as the bitmap I was importing. Mimic is resizing the bitmap to the default image size, and not doing that good a job of it either.
It would be nice to have an option to size the frame to the bitmap size, since ...

Re: Inserting a bitmap into a movie
If you go into a frame property you can assign a different bitmap image to the background.

I was doing that, but the bitmap was coming in resized instead of at full size.
I recaptured the screens and they worked OK. It's possible the first ones were captured incorrectly, so the issue is ...

Inserting a bitmap into a movie
I'm back into evaluating Mimic again. My company decided not to go with an animated movie, which was what was crashing on my workstation, and to use annotated single screen shots instead. Thanks to Pat Dear for extending my trial period, which had run out.

I'm particularly fond of the Mimic / Analyzer integration. While I'm playing, Mimic is recording the game while Analyzer analyses my play in realtime, and inserts comments directly into the movie to show me how I could have played better.

No logo works for me...
I tested with my help and with Flare's own help, and I made another test project.
What I DID do is uninstall V2 Flare and V2 Flare Viewer prior to installing 2.5. I don't like have extra versions and files, and 2.5 was defaulting into a different folder.
