I haven't needed to do this yet in Flare, but you never know.

ohai!
say hello to the worst "enhancement" made to an application. :P (overly dramatic)
I noticed this issue, called MadCap and was told that it was changed due to requests from users ... it sounded like I wasn't the only one who called and they were working on a work-around. So we will see what ...

I don't know how your release process works, but you could do this:
Create a batch file that will build projects A - Z at <insert time> amd <recoccurance rate (aka everyday, every other, every friday) then set the import files to automatically reimport linked files before building.

Re: X-Edit v2
I just used it for my last release. Now that you can send multiple topics for review, using X-Edit actually makes sense (I don't know how anyone could use it pre-multi-topic). My reviewer loved being able to jump right into the files and move things around (I enabled the "allow editing rights ...

Re: How to change Topic links from mini-TOC proxy?
[edit] LOL i didn't read Lisa's post and pretty much made the same suggestion.
Only thing I can add to her suggestion is:
make the fake heading style a heading level lower then the topic that displays the minitoc, for example:
h2 (topic with minitoc)
h3 (pdf heading level, will display on h2 ...

Re: Global projects on a network drive
With Flare v6 they added the Batch Target functionality, couldnt you set the remote employee(s) up to build automatically every night to grab the latest / greatest topics before they even started their day? Just have to select the "auto-reimpor before 'generate output'" check box on the Source ...

Re: I am glad we started single sourcing
single sourcing is rough. you have to change how you document (and in our case try and prepare a dozen or more product that share common features) but the payoff will be well worth it in the long run.
i am glad single-sourcing is finally paying off for you (and your team?)

Re: Adding a feedback button
Hello there,
I need to add a feedback button to my KB. I had a look around on the net and I have come across various scripts to insert in one own's website.
Would anyone know if there is a way to insert a feedback button from Flare? Also have you got any scripts that you would recommend?
Thanks ...

I am trying to hide the comment functionality on the home page of my help system. I figured I could use javascript to hide the <iframe> tag that the comments reside in (which is obv. inserted during the building process)

Intense Toggle Usage

The table works by allowing the user to click an option in the first column, which causes the seleted toggle to display the available options for the selected item, and so forth for the 3rd ...

For those of your wondering, the Flare EULA does allow you to install on two machines (at home or portable machine and a work or desktop machine). I can't believe I read the EULA. I can not believe I read the EULA.

Re: tables not matching up :(
You have three choices. Choice A -- Make the content identical (either all text inside paragraphs inside the cell or remove all paragraph tags from the cells). Choice B -- use a complex selector to control the padding of that paragraph class when it's inside a table cell. Or Choice C -- remove the ...
