are the users always going to need the definitions? i would use expanding links solves a couple of issues from an outsiders perspective:
1) once the user knows what the terms mean, they dont have to see them every time they load a topic
2) the expanding text will print out if the topic is printed

Re: Embed Full Search field on a Masterpage?
i used this and it worked perfectly, the only thing i added was the following:
<INPUT type="text" name="searchtext" value="Search Help For..." />
i dont know if there was a real reason to do it, but since it will be "new functionality" in the help system i wanted to "ease" the transistion ... that ...

You enable the Glossary pane by editing your skin. Open the skin you use for your WH output, go to the basic tab, and select the checkbox next to Glossary.

Re: Creating Checklists
what if you added the unicode into the autotext field, you know, where you can create custom autotext, something like:
<unicode>####</unicode>
this is obviously an attempt at doing something, i have never tried ... ever. which you prolly picked up on with my unique <unicode> tags. :D

Re: Dynamic List Based on Relationship Table
Disheartening news, called MadCap support and asked if they knew of anyway to try and implement this. The tech "thought the idea was really cool", but he didn't know of any existing Flare functionality that could make this work and a dev would be needed to try and get it implemented.

Dynamic List Based on Relationship Table
I want to create 3 different lists on my help system home page that uses the relationship table columns (reference, task, concept) to create the list. The goal is when the user access the help system from the main menu (not using the F1 csh link) a "main page" will be displayed that contains three ...

Re: Prev Topic / Next Topic Buttons on Masterpage
Have you tried inserting the topic toolbar proxy onto the master page? Then you can control what buttons are on the topic toolbar using the skin editor. No need to mess with the JavaScript, when you can use the topic toolbar feature to do exactly that.

Prev Topic / Next Topic Buttons on Masterpage
I was curious how I would go about moving the buttons from their current location on the toolbar to the bottom of my masterpage. I would assume I would need to call the same javascript that the buttons are currently using. I have been trying to mess around with Firebug and I this is what I got when ...

Re: Find and replace in glossaries
Open the glossary in the internal text editor (right click the glossary file) then open the Find and Replace pane. Search for the exact definition (which should be between <definition> </definition> tags) and replace it that way. That should rip through your glossary fairly quickly the changes you ...

well....you could have done this:
create a paragraph style called: picture, apply fancy style elements.
insert an image with the p style applied
so you have <p class="picture"><img></img></p> in your scoure code

Re: Turning Relationship table headings into drop down text
Yea, I don't have Flare open (just got in, don't hate :D ) but the RelationshipTableHeading style has 3 subclasses, which happen to follow the names of the 3 standard columns. There is a property in the subclass that has the name of the heading, should be easy to find because it will say Related ...
