Help - can't launch Flare/Capture/Mimic!
Have been running Flare + Mimic + Capture on an XP box with all latest patches for over a year. Haven't installed any software recently.
Yesterday, I did a copy'n'paste in Capture, everything froze, when I tried to restart Flare I got this:

Re: Capture a Tooltip?
Thanks Will - glad to see time delay will be implemented. TBH Capture is basically useless to me ATM as I have to capture tooltips in almost every image.
I like the functionality for callouts etc, so as soon as this is implemented, I'll use the tool again.

Re: "continue" (lateral links)
Agree with previous posters - will be raising a feature request.
I read up on browse sequences and thought I'd be able to adapt them to create a laterally-linked set of topics (yes, I'm creating online content from scratch and I still want to do that.)

Expanding text - paragraphs
This is one of those "what am I doing differently" questions... Sometimes when I create an expanding block, the Flare editor allows me to use the enter key to create hard carriage returns (these show up as <p> tags when "show blocks" is toggled on, whereas shift-enter gives <br> tags) and obviously ...

Re: Publishing and Destination problems
Thanks for the response, Will, but no, neither of those points were what I was saying:
Point 1 is that it's doubly ridiculous that publish locks up the tool given that the tool edits the "content" folder while the publish process FTPs up the "output" folder (put bluntly, this seems like behaviour ...

Stylesheet lost when topic moved
When I move a topic in content explorer, say for example to a lower level folder or to the folder above where it previously sat, I get the following issue:
- the reference to the stylesheet within the topic is NOT updated.
All other paths (to images, of incoming and outgoing links etc) are correctly ...

Re: Adding Page Breaks
Thanks SteveS and wclass, sorted now :)
Steps it took to get Word page breaks working:
- Set the target I'm using for the print output to use the print medium (which is the stylesheet medium where I set the page break property)
- Uncheck the "Use TOC depth" checkbox In the Generated TOC section of ...

Re: Adding Page Breaks
Unfortunately that wasn't it (The target has "Print" in the Medium drop-down on the Advanced tab).
Good call tho Steve... I didn't even realise the 2 things were linked, so it's not something I'd checked.
Now... Your excellent question got me thinking... So I went back into the Print Medium group in ...

Re: Adding Page Breaks
I'm having the same issue (using Flare 3.1) - I have <h1> set to "page-break-before = always" in the Print Support section of the properties pane in the Stylesheet editor, but when I publish to word, the h1 is on the same page as the preceding content.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

Re: No TOC generated for Word output
That topic indeed covers everything I was missing.
None of the obvious combinations of search terms in the help search brought that topic up very near the top.
Thanks again Margaret.

Unlink TOC entries
Question:
How do I "unlink" TOC folders that are currently linked to topics, so that they link to nothing?
Cheers,
Jay

No TOC generated for Word output
I'm trying to publish content to Word, and no Word TOC is being generated (A missing Word TOC/Print TOC). I'm probably missing a step here?
I have a WebHelp target that I publish the content to and everything works fine with that target.
Is there a step somewhere where I should be explicitly ...

Re:
I have found the issue is that the publisher will not delete old rennamed/moved/deleted files from the server.
Therefore, I cannot use the publisher.
Back to the old FTPSync programs.
Abandoning Flare tools left and right. I'm sad.

Window Resized on Open
Hopefully someone can put me on the right track here.
My WebHelp output (using completely vanilla/default/out-of-the-box stylesheet, target, skin etc) was being resized to 800x600.
I looked into this and it seems like the default behaviour (if you never do Project>>Add Skin) is to use the built in ...
