The support and amenability (is that the right word?) are heavyweight arguments PRO Mimic. But recording keystrokes is standard for the competitors - they all have it. An: We would need it for our purposes ...

Re: Typing text not recording
Currently we are testing demo tools and Mimic is one of them. Fact is, that the three other tools do have an automatic recording facility based on a framerate. In the moment we cannot decide between DemoBuilder and Mimic. DemoBuilder has a really good recording approach: It makes a movie scene out ...

Re: Single source / different images sizes
I don't want to have to go through this nonsense for every image in my document (of which there are many). The point of Capture was supposed to be single sourcing. This is what it should do ... otherwise, why have we paid money for it? If I wanted to just take snapshots of my screen and then ...

Re: Single source / different images sizes
Hi Benjamin,
I have an image (not a screenshot, but a schematic created with MS Visio and exported to PNG) that I want to include in a Flare project. For online output I would like it to be something like 600 pixels wide, and for printed output about 6 inches @ 300 dpi = 1800 pixels wide. Can that ...

Re: Conditional links in same output?
Hi Darryl,
Is there a way to have a condition on a link that is drawn from a variable in the page, and not determined during the build?
I say: "Yes."
You can have multiple conditional tag sets and with none or only one of them relevant for collecting the topics for the target help: Just ignore ...

Re: The include/exclude function of conditions is blurred
This is how conditions in Flare work:
If you assign ONE condition to an image or a text it is displayed if you INCLUDE that condition - if the object has more conditions: they don't matter . "Excludes" don't work on that object.
The syntax I use for the follwing example is NOT a valid Flare syntax ...

Re: Moving htm files to a folder in Content Explorer
Several ideas/questions:
I had a look at your flash movie. In the window Link Update I saw the path and that path of the source is quite long ... 130 characters ...
The path of the target is 152 characters ... together with the file name it's even 160 ... maybe that is the problem ...

Re: Conditional not working for me
You can't have the opening tag for ConditionA then the opening tag for ConditionB then the closing tag for ConditionA then the closing tag for ConditionB. In other words, you can't do (in simplified form) <ConditionA> text <ConditionB> more text </ConditionA> still more text </ConditionB ...

Re: Tables always left aligned. I want them centered
For problems like that (style working for IE? for FF? in what way?) I usually consult a German website called selfhtml.
There's bound to be an English equivalent!?

Re: Conditional not working for me
- Are the welcome topics on the root of the content folder? Or deeper down in the structure, maybe even in a folder that has one or more conditions assigned to it? Then excluding of one or more of those conditions for a topic won't work! That is sth I reported as a bug already.

Re: Aren't underlined hyperlinks THE web style usability std
Clearly, that is a matter of priority and/or target group. I think we should meet their expectations and their standards: If the product is used by younger people, e.g. a music mixing software you should have a look at the more "hip" websites. If you produce a software for the visually impaired you ...

Re: Is there a stylesheet for the XML editor?
What I would do is build a CSS on her machine only that uses much larger fonts. Make sure this CSS has the same name as your normal CSS. Then, you could just open the project on another writer's machine to build output--as long as that writer's machine has the "real" CSS, the output will use the ...

Is there a stylesheet for the XML editor?

I have a colleague whose sight is pretty poor and we were looking for sth. like a zoom for her to use in the editor but couldn't find one.
