I have a few starter questions about translating my Flare Project from English to another language. I've got a workflow in my head - I'm wondering if I've got it right.
- Create Project in Flare
- Open Flare content in Lingo and create a TMX File bundle
- Send to human translator ...

Ok, the 'a' basically names the numbering sequence. You could have multiple sequences running at the same time if you wanted, and as long as each sequence had a different letter name they would not conflict with one another. Having said that, I honestly don't know how that works with Secnum and ...

That's comforting to know (although perhaps not for you)!
I too can get the results I want if I use the chapter and section options on the Properties of my TOC entries but the {n+} just won't do what I think it should do. I've made a tiny Project now to play with; hopefully when the USA wakes up ...

Hey, I've not been "playing" with autonumbering for a while but I've just had a chance to try the above set up but it didn't work. I got this:

I then tweaked my H3 so it had 3 numbers in and messed it up even further.

This has just started happening to me as of today. Absolutely nothing has changed - it used to work just fine and today it simply won't!
I'll try the patch tomorrow and open a support call (out of time today). Any more updates on this issue?

I tried binding my Flare Project(s) to Perforce but the slow down rendered it unusable. Now all I do is every Friday run a Revert Unchanged Files and then Check in (and straight back out) all my other files in Projects I've been working on. This seems to work well so far and I have the peace of mind ...

Well my issue is a known one but yours might be unique! Do you have the Concept Window open when you get the error? If so, close it, save your project and then close Flare. Reopen Flare (double check the Concept Window really is gone) and retry the action that was giving you the error.

Is your "Concept Explorer" window open whilst you are trying to generate output?
If it is, close it, save the project, close and reopen Flare and try to generate output again. Does that make any difference?

I think the Flare editor does have a steep initial learning curve, but ultimately it's a very powerful tool. I would say it's taken me about 6 weeks to feel mostly comfortable using it and I dare say I've got months of learning ahead to get to grips with the advanced features on offer - some of ...
