Thanks again, Lisa, for all your help. My styles are straightened out now. And sorry I got your name wrong above.

Re: Problems with decimal alignment in Flare 9
I backed up a copy of the style sheet and apparently what I had open in Flare was the older version. Am trying now with your styles.

Re: Problems with decimal alignment in Flare 9
I added your simple styles from above to my style sheet, but the styles are not showing up as classes of p. I thought pasting them in and saving everything would cause them to show up. What causes that to happen?

Re: Problems with decimal alignment in Flare 9
I have a deadline fast upon me to get this working, and no support in house to nail styles down. I may have to contact Support for help on this and not use any more bandwidth here.

Re: Problems with decimal alignment in Flare 9
One thing I see is that the multiline indents don't match. I copied these styles over from my alpha styles and made some mods, but this could be the cause of my indent problem.

Re: Problems with decimal alignment in Flare 9
It is working, sort of. I applied the span style as you showed in the previous post, and so far have made no adjustments for width, etc.
With no modifications, the numbers are certainly aligned the way I want, but this weird thing happens where subsequent steps are indented for no reason. If I add ...

Re: Problems with decimal alignment in Flare 9
I am not sure I follow you with span tags and referring to them in autonumber format. Yes, I have added classes to p tags for bullet, bullet indent, alpha 1, alpha next, etc.
My alpha1 format is {a=1}.
So how would I add a span tag to that expression?

Problems with decimal alignment in Flare 9
Folks, I am trying to finish a style sheet and am under the gun, so hopefully I am clear with my question.
I am using special styles for numbered lists, not the built in <ol> and <ul> tags. Here is my problem:

Cannot generate chapter titles using Running H/F
In my project, I have created a style called h1.chapter_title.
In Running H/F, I modified the Running H/F 7 variable to: <$paratext[h1.chapter_title]>
This variable was then added to my headers on L/R pages for the Chapter page layout.
My documentation target is PDF.

Re: HTML5 Output with Swf file will not load
Hi, Here is an update on my issue. There was a problem with the .swf file, which I downloaded from YouTube. I had someone else try it, and they had the same problem as me. This person, Scott DeLoach, sent me a sample .swf file and it worked fine. So for whatever reason, the content had some problems ...

Re: Cannot generate "preview of primary target"
The primary target was set to PDF. I changed it to WebHelp, built the primary WebHelp target, and then went back to the topic. The preview worked this time.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Cannot generate "preview of primary target"
These topics are in projects where a primary target has already been set. I cannot view the individual topics in the output preview within the topic. But I will double check tomorrow when I am on my work laptop. Thanks.

Cannot generate "preview of primary target"
Within a topic, when I click the "Preview of Primary Target" button, the Preview window pops up, but it is always blank.

Viewing WebHelp, a plethora of problems
I am running Flare 8.<latest build> on a Windows 7 Pro 64-bit machine.
After building WebHelp, first it told me I needed to install IIS. So I did that.
Then it told me .ASP Net was not registered with IIS per the attached screen capture.

How do I fix this? Never saw this problem ...

HTML5 Output with Swf file will not load
Hello, I am experimenting with multimedia in different outputs. I added a .swf file to my project and then generated an HTML5 target. The black box for the video appears, but all it does is say, "Loading"... and the video never plays.
Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

Re: Figure and Table autonumbering is not incrementing correctly
As to why figure and table numbers were appearing in online help: that is the way it was always done. There was only one writer on site with little or no time to produce proper context sensitive help. The Frame files were dumped "as is" into WW 2003.

Re: Figure and Table autonumbering is not incrementing correctly
OK, I edited the style sheet in Notepad++ and changed the series to double quotes. I also changed my Xrefs to {paratext}. It looks like it worked. I will take a closer look at my project tomorrow. I don't think anyone really cares if the numbers are not there, provided they can link correctly.

Flare does not let me enter a double quote for the autonumber format, so I will have to set this in a text editor.

Figure and Table autonumbering is not incrementing correctly

My numbering only works within a topic, not across the entire project. It always resets to 1 in a new topic. Therefore, I have changed my auto number ...

Did you receive an answer to this? I am having the same exact problem, and I am so frustrated by it that I am ready to phone my problem in. I have spent countless hours trying to scrub my formats, and I still get tags appearing. I tried fixing the cross references in the style sheet, and I tried ...
