Re: Clearing History for Popup windows on close
I've seen this behavior, as well, and wondered if there was a way to clear the history. It's a rare occurrence in our case to have links with a target of 'self' within popup topic content (which create a history for the popup), but they exist in a few cases. So, while it's not a really big issue for ...

Re: Can you insert a registered trademark symbol in a variable?
What you might want to do is not include the mark in the variable, but instead create a snippet. Insert the variable in the snippet then insert the mark and apply a span class to that mark that is set to superscript the text.

Re: Command Line Build batch file
I can live with it; it's just a bit annoying to have a file permanently in the pending check-ins list, and I don't want to add it by accident.
My thoughts exactly. I'm using VSS 2005, as well, and I don't see any way to exclude files. It'd be nice to not have the target batch files hanging around ...

You might want to exclude that file type from your repository, so it never gets picked up.

Well, at long last the glory days of the .BAT file are over! Flare V6 now offers batch building/publishing of project targets.
I just installed Flare V6 and tried it out; works great! Hooray!!

Re: XML prolog before DOCTYPE declaration: trouble for IE6
As far as I know IE6 always uses quirks mode.
Per the articles whose links I posted (and many others I did not) it seems that IE6 *will* respect the DOCTYPE instructions to use strict mode, if there is nothing preceding the declaration.
Although I cannot think why anyone in their right mind ...

Re: XML prolog before DOCTYPE declaration: trouble for IE6
It might be easier to create a masterpage and insert the doctype declaration before the xml declaration in the masterpage (you'll have to do it manually by opening the topic in the Internal Text Editor). That should result in all of your topics being generated with the doctype before the xml ...

XML prolog before DOCTYPE declaration: trouble for IE6
Hello, all.
I just ran into an interesting situation while testing some Flare WebHelp output in IE6, caused by the XML prolog (<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>) being placed before the DOCTYPE declaration (<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1 ...

Re: Getting CSH WebHelp to Reuse Target Window
Usually, you can call a URL by specifying a window name. If you send subsequent calls using the same window name it will display it in the same window if it exists.
You need to craft a link that basically looks like this:
<a href="somewhere.html" target="otherwindow">Click Here</a>

Re: Left Table indentation to get table in line with list
Joost,
We usually place the tables we want to line up with bulleted or numbered lists inside a <div> which has a special class we've defined with a ' left-indent ' setting that matches the indent of the list.
