I have a project configured for PDF output. Just for something different, I set it up for HTML5 output.
Surprisingly, I am getting only the title page, and a messed up one at that. Headings appear to be embedded in the logo area. Go figure.

Topic Properties
When I right-click on a topic, click on Properties, and click the Topic Properties tab, the Stylesheet box is grayed out and unavailable. How do I make Stylesheet available?

You are always pre-forgiven, Nita. Smile.
Maybe there should be a section of the forums for "Features You Probably Don't Know About."

Re: Using the "Generate TOC Proxy" option
Thanks!
The automatic TOC proxy seems useless since I am unable to place it myself.
Who needs a TOC right up front?

Using the "Generate TOC Proxy" option
When I use the "Generate TOC Proxy" option, the proxy is placed at the beginning of the output.
I need the proxy placed AFTER the title page.
Is there a way to dictate the placement of the automatic TOC proxy?

Orphaned TOC entry
In the PDF output for my latest project, the last item listed in the TOC, "Index," is getting shoved off onto its very own page. It looks a little odd. First time this has happened. Is there a way to fix this?

What's up with "Ignored Warnings" -- ?
I have over 600 ignored compiler warnings when I build my PDF targets.
The finished builds look okay, so what's going on with all these warnings?
Do I need to worry?

Thanks, Joe! I'm a technical writer, BTW. My hands are as dirty with information as a car mechanic's hands are with grease. Grin.

Re: Adding dozens of topics to a TOC book
Good idea, Nita, but the directional arrows are not available in Grid View. Only in Tree View.Nita Beck wrote:I'm not sure this will work, but what if you switch to Grid View and try indenting from there. In Grid View, one can select more than one TOC entry at a time.

Adding dozens of topics to a TOC book
I am trying to add dozens of topics to a TOC book and get them to indent en masse.
I can add them all at once, but not indented.
I have tried highlighted all of them and then indenting, but this works on only the first topic.

Re: Exporting individual topics for review?
I suppose one could maintain one or more review TOCs and copy topics in and out as needed.I suppose the topics can be opened/edited with in the review TOC, and the same topics in the main working TOC(s) would be updated too (They'd need re-publishing, of course.)
That's exactly what I do.

I was using a shortcut to styles instead of just opening the style window. The shortcut doesn't display all the styles. The style window does.

My first Flare 11 crash!
No idea what happened. I got the message Flare has stopped working, then CRASH! No error message to speak of. All I was doing was adjusting the Quick Access Ribbon.
