Not all styles are displayed
When I try to make a line of text follow a new style I created, I get the following message:
"Only 20 of 50 styles shown."
Naturally, the newest style isn't shown. If a style isn't shown, how can I select it for that bit of text?

Re: Yet another <File Path Is Too Long> error
Everything seems to work after the move. Two Notes:
1. I did have to mess around with a handful of cross-references, but I can handle that.
2. I also had to delete some ancient project import files, too.
Other than that, my first try at building the target that WAS throwing errors went smoothly.

Okay, I'm game, but how does one move a Flare project? I sure don't want to break anything.Nita Beck wrote:To fix your situation, you should move your Flare project to as shallow a folder location as possible, such as C:\FlareProjects\YourProjectHere.

Re: Yet another <File Path Is Too Long> error
Hi Craig,
Are you building on a server and testing on your own machine? In my case, the server was using a deeper directory path than my machine; it worked for me but not for the server. Also, I found that 260 char limit is not always correct; sometimes it fails on less. Doesn't your build log ...

Yet another <File Path Is Too Long> error
I am getting this error again. I have no clue which file name is the offender because this is all I am given to work with:
Linking cross-references...
Creating chapters...
The specified path, file name, or both are too long. The fully qualified file name must be less than 260 characters, and the ...

When importing a project file, is there a way to choose the folders into which the HTM and image files go?

Need to import older project into newer project
Several years ago, I created a separate one-off project, created PDF output, and thought I'd heard the last of it. I was wrong.
This older project has risen off the slab to be reborn. I probably should put this child project back under the parent project from which it grew.
What is the easiest way ...

Finally got Exclude conditions to work!
I have them humming along at the topic and paragraph levels.
The key for me was to lean on Excludes and forget about the Includes.
Thanks to Nita Beck for her helpful hints.

Need to exclude a portion of a topic
Is there a way to use Excludes on one or two paragraphs of content embedded within a topic?
I have some content that is meant only for a specific client. This material doesn't really need to be in a separate topic.

Re: Question about TOC "check box" colors
If you remove them their content will be included in any online type output, even if the topics aren't in a TOC used for the build, if the condition is being used as an exclude condition. If anyone searches the output the 'hidden' topics (they're not in the TOC for the output) will also be ...

Re: Question about TOC "check box" colors
Thanks! I seldom have reasons to use conditions, so I rarely do. I have no memory of why I applied these conditions, either. Guess I'll remove them and see what happens.

Question about TOC "check box" colors
There are check boxes associated with every entry in a TOC.
Sometimes these check boxes are filled in with blue, see the image.
What differentiates the blue boxes from the clear boxes?

I cleared the cache and rebooted, but still got the error. I am posting this using IE.
What's going on?
