Re: Changing the name of a project

I would say not, then. Flare is on my system only, and I wouldn't have turned on source control.

Re: Changing the name of a project

I don't think I am using source control, but if you can stand a hideously stupid question, how would I know if source control was activated?

Re: Changing the name of a project

When I renamed the project, I didn't expect the old folder to hang around along with the new folder.

Re: Changing the name of a project

I got a question about updating the links, and I selected yes to update the links.

Re: Changing the name of a project

Good question. It's the one that is represented graphically by the image of a folder.

Changing the name of a project

If we die like this, our positions are going to be awfully hard to explain. GRIN.

Re: One style sheetsheet to rule them all

Well, poop. That explains some of the problems I am having. Thanks for jumping in, however. I need all the help I can get.

Re: One style sheetsheet to rule them all

I have lots of questions and insatiable curiosity about Flare. Very powerful yet quirky. I don't like to overstay my welcome with 10 questions shotgunned all over the place. I like to carefully aim and word my queries. But I will make Senior. GRIN.

One style sheetsheet to rule them all

I am trying to create one stylesheet for ALL projects instead of creating separate stylesheets for each project.

Is this even possible?

Local Formatting -- Odd results using Select All

Before trying to learn style sheets, I thought I would simply format a document locally. Not as simple as I thought. I tried selecting the entire document and changing the font. That really didn't work very well. Then I tried numbered line by line. That works but is very cumbersome and time ...

Perhaps a Flare editor for technical writers and editors. Grin.

I think that's the "thing" to which I'm referring, yes.

Re: Can I replace the Flare XML editor

I'm finding the XML editor really hard to use.

Me, too. There is a steep -- but worthwhile -- learning curve, from what I have read.

I have registered for a free online demonstration of Flare this Monday. I am hoping for a few pointers.

It feels as though I am butting my head against the wall ...
