Is there a way to merge two objects and have the text on both remain visible?

System moves at a crawl
Our company has several writers working on the same large project, and I've noticed lately that it takes many minutes to open and close the project. Later in the day, especially, all activity within the project moves at a literal crawl. What specific things should I do or double-check to ensure ...

Re: Blurred Capture
Though I'm not entirely clear, I get the idea (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong): once a movie has been created, the dimensions for those particular frames are set in stone--meaning, if you later add a frame focused on a region that is smaller than the regions presented in the previous frames ...

Blurred Capture
I know it's some silly setting I've overlooked, but here's the trouble:
I've got a project containing several movies. I need to add a frame to one. If I use the Record New Frame or Capture New Frame option, the added frame is bloated and blurred, like a bad closeup. Here's a clue: the frame is ...

Re: Click action not showing up in Flash
Same here. In version 1.2, the click action (at least in my project) seemed a bit confused; in version 2.0, it's more as you describe: it's accurate, but the pulse is gone.
I've also noticed that Typing Box Mode doesn't behave as expected (again, at least in my project). With Mimic Movie Viewer ...

Re: Mimic 2.0 Released
I'm about a week into the alloted time period for evaluating a trial version of Mimic 1.2 and have been frustrated by an assortment of bugs. I've seen enough to like, though, and was wondering whether I'd be able to abandon the 1.2 trial in favor of the 2.0? Or is it something I need to take up with ...

Re: Click Animation Sluggish
V 1.2. Thanks for asking.
It may indeed be attributable to my novice status, but the product seems to have a bit of a "buggy" feel to it:
1. Project Movies window won't dock properly on the right side of the interface.
2. Clicking too fast through the tutorial, particularly backwards, causes Mimic ...

Click Animation Sluggish
I'm new to Mimic, trying it out (company has purchased several Flare licenses, and I'd like to see whether Mimic will fit what we do), and I can't figure out how to speed up the animated click--not the cursor movement, but the click itself--at the end of an action. The background pulse, so to speak ...

Thought I remembered having access to the red X in the past.
If I need to delete a future post, I'll replace the text with, "Please delete post."
Thanks.

Far be it from me to beat this thing into the ground, but I can't find the red X. Seriously, I can't find it; otherwise, you wouldn't see this post.

Actually, I had an even more general question that I worried was beneath most of the experts on this forum, so I bailed. Thanks for responding. Sounds as though the server is the better bet.

Re: Auto Save? Please?
Since our purchase of the license in January of this year, it's crashed on me five times, twice in the last two days. Given that I work on it nearly every day, it's a small percentage. But two in the last two days has me concerned. One of our developers suggested that, until the issue is resolved, I ...

Re: Auto Save? Please?
It just happened again, and I lost a bunch of work. Now I'm officially worried. I lodged a bug report yesterday and am compelled to do so again today. This project is big, and no small amount is on the line.

Auto Save? Please?
A moment ago, after I'd spent a tedious couple of hours getting the text and images of a topic just right, the infamous "MadCap-has-encountered-a-problem" window popped up and forced me to kill the work. To my despair, I'd forgotten to save the work along the way.

Re: Linking toolbar item to different topic
Thank you for the prompt reminder. Think I'm a bit overextended today. Trying to complete and publish the first phase of a project, had that very tab open out of the gate but gazed right past the Startup Topic control (haven't monkeyed with it since purchasing a license). Knew I was making it ...
