Re: Script Blues

Forgive me for getting ahead of myself. Guess I assumed it'd worked.

I'd been testing one help topic, applying and re-applying the master page each time I fiddled with what I believed were the correct styles and properties, and nothing was working.

After opening the stylesheet in the internal ...

Re: Script Blues

That did the trick. I conveniently ignored the order on first try. Sorry about that. An odd thing, though, having to do it that way; never would have figured it out without your help. Many thanks.

Re: Script Blues

Thanks. I created a custom <a> class, added to the pseudo classes the color I wanted, saved, applied the class to the link, saved and built. But the link remains blue. I must've missed a step in there somewhere. If willing, please advise once more.

Script Blues

I've inserted a javascript link in a master page. The link is blue, but I need to change the color. I've tried changing the colors of the Script and Span properties in the stylesheet, but the blue refuses to go away. Anyone out there able to point me in the right direction? Thanks.

Toggler Style

Created a new toggler style, would like to turn off underline in output, but can't find the correct property. Any help? Thanks.

Re: Navigating back to an open dropdown

Thanks for sharing your expertise. I certainly don't know my way around javascript, but you've given me something I can take to someone who does.

By the way, in case I'm asked, where, exactly, is the script supposed to go?

Thanks, again.

Navigating back to an open dropdown

I know it's been discussed before, but I can't find it: open a dropdown and click a link in the dropdown that takes you to another topic. When you go back to the original topic, the dropdown is closed, of course. Is there a way to keep it open?

For me, Mimic's Flash output in v. 2 is a big disappointment.

Easiest output type for customers using WebHelp?

I work daily on a large WebHelp file that is incorporated with our software. A while back, my company purchased a license for Mimic v.2, but we have yet to incorporate movies in the help.

My question: if I want a customer to be able to click a link to a movie and have it work without first having ...

Not-declared identifier message

Just upgraded from 3.1 to 5. Below is a characteristic error message received after a build. I removed the topic from the Alias file and the header file, saved and built, but the message remained. I then re-added the topic to the Alias file, with the same result:

"Compiler: Alias: Topic identifier ...

Re: Uncle

Yes, I deleted the output folder. And I found the MadCap.css and MadCapAll.js files in the output. Are they supposed to be in the SkinSupport folder?

And yes, I created a breadcrumb master in a test project, and it appeared to work fine.

Wow, I hope you're richly rewarded for all of the detailed, clearly communicated help you provide. As soon as I'm able, I'll go through the steps you've provided and report back. The last half of your last paragraph, in particular, has me wondering.

Build Error Following Upgrade to v5

Just upgraded from 3.1 to 5. Big help project, several problems already. Will start here:

When trying to build, receive the following error: "Internal error: object reference not set to an instance of an object."
