Table cell breaks line after each word
In the Web Help output, the text line breaks after each word in the table column 2.

It looks fine in the preview. The output shows the column is very wide. I'm using a P.TableText para style. When I use that style outside of the table, it looks fine.

How to import files from rearranged RoboHelp
Can I just copy and paste the whole folder of Images into the Resources folder of a Flare project using Explorer?

Re: Nonbreaking Word
I see that this method does not work on hard hyphens. Is there any way to get e-mail to not break across lines?
I've tried inserting it as a Variable and as a Snippet— still breaks.

rigth indexing a piece of text
In my footer, I want the company name to be centered. Is there a way to right-index the page number (for right pages) on the same line? I tried using the right-float text box, but it goes to the next line.
example: |_ MyCompanyName.com -29- _|

Re: Nonbreaking Word
Thanks, DocuWil. That worked.
I never knew about the Format > Paragraph command. The properties dialog evidently offers, what amounts to, style 'overrides' for the selected paragraph.

How do I avoid a word breaking across lines? Is there some way to mark a word as non-breaking? There is no hyphen in the word.

Words are split up. WAS: Some text is not searchable in PDF
MORE INFO: I discovered that the reason the PDF is not finding the words is because there are small spaces inserted between characters of the words. For example the word Service is actually S e rv ic e in the PDF (except the spaces are smaller). The Flare text is fine (unbroken words). The code ...

Some text is not searchable in PDF
My PDF search function finds some text but not other text on the same page. In fact, within p tag text, it won't find the word utility but it will find tility if I do a search on just that part of the word.

Tab ('div') part of a line of text such as pg #?
Is there a way to tab (div) in the middle of a sentence and not affect the whole sentence/paragraph? For instance, in the footer, I want the footer on the Right page placed at the left margin, but I want a the page number at the right margin (and in the same line).

Okay, resetting the language in Flare fixed the caption. (language had gone back to 'default'.
The skin size and location still have no effect in the output chm. Any ideas?

Skin Editor changes have no affect in output
Creating HTML Help in Windows7; changes to the Help Window caption and the location and placement of the help are all ignored in output. Re: Flare 7: anyone else with popup problems?
I, too, am having trouble. Popup windows are not displaying. I'm using Flare 7 in Windows 7. They worked fine on March 8, 2011. But since then I've seen an automatic Windows update when I shut down, just a few days ago. I've built much navigation using popups and would like hear what's up. Flare ...

Style changes don't affect appearance
I change the font size of a p.footnote paragraph style with the Medium set to Non-print. Save. Look at the Flare editor (also set to Medium=Non-print) and the changes don't appear. :( I can force them to appear in the editor for each topic by clicking Default medium, and then toggle back to Non ...

Re: Linking from TOC in WebHelp to external web pages?
Can someone show what your URL looks like? How do I use the &forcedownload=true code? I'm trying to open an Excel Spreadsheet—doesn't really matter if it is links from the TOC or a Topic. But when you say to enter a URL it is really just an explorer path, isn't it? Such as ../MySpreadsheet.xls ...

Re: Linking to a PDF
Bernie,
All I know about issue #1 is that when embedded, the PDF will add to the size of the CHM (or whatever your output is). Also, when it is not embedded, you rely on other people (or systems) to ensure that the PDF is indeed in the correct directory.

Re: Does Flare Output work in Win98?
Some of our customers still have legacy capital equipment with embedded computers running Win98. They are not required to update the OS, but they do periodically update a companion SW App (including my Help) on that equipment.
