Re: scrolling web page

So in other words, use .NET Framework with C# or any .NET supported language for all the other main Capture features, but for more accurate, faster Capture engine that may need to interact closely with a platform's User Interface API calls, use native C or a C++ library to accomplish the deal.

could you provide a little bit more details on this? if no one gets back to you, you might want to try madcap support if you have a maintenance contract.

Re: Linking when using the Global linking feature

Seems to me this a limitation of project linking, and possibly a wise rule to live by with modular documentation - that is, the global/parent project should stand-alone. If you start linking from the global topics to children, then those links will break when including those topics in other child ...

Re: Don't See Installed Font - Company Standard

P.S. I did post a feature enhancement request to add support for OpenType fonts. 8)

i did too.
And i am pretty sure the MadCap heads and team would reeeally like to add OpenType font support. I am preetty sure of that.

.NET Framework 3.0/3.5 supports Open Type if i am not wrong.

Re: I Heart Mimic

There's a very strong possibility a lot of the Mimic discontents could be fixed in a very near coming version.
If the new Capture is any indication, mimic could be on a positive upstream. Am sure the MadCap team can do as well as the Ca-t-v-te team.

i think its more a monitor contrast/brightness issue as RamonS sez it. or check your display drivers to check that the contrast/brightness was not manipulated by software driver settings.

Re: moving big sections of documentation?

I've had to this on quite a few occasions.

Workaround, how about converting the whole section to a div, its a popular practice. Then moving that whole block around to where you want. Then unbind the div again to finish.

Capture v5 on a quiet release

All the same, here are some first impressions. Until the professional users post something more substantial.

There's lots of nice things to like in this version of Capture v5. See the ...

Re: Table cell formatting

I think Lisa mentioned this earlier, but one reason your TD tags are behaving differently from you TH tags is the vertical-align: top attribute in the TD cells. TH should default to vertical-align: center, so naturally it won't match.

I'm more interested in the <td> cells respecting the padding ...

Do a scan disk. Make sure there are no corrupted disk sectors. Flare depends a lot on a healthy disk, since your hard disk is literally a database to Flare.

Or you could create a span class or a generic class that has font-weight set to bold, and use Greg's process except instead of <B>Menu</B> it would be <span class="menuHilite">Menu</span> (for example). The benefit of using a class is that if you later decide you want Menu to display in a blue font ...
