Hi All,
I have been specifically asked by our engineers if there is any way for me to export a header file in C# format (.cs extension). This is not an option from the Export header File dialog in 4.2 or 5.0, but I was wondering if anyone had come up with a workaround?
Thanks,
Sharon

Re: Heading page-break-after not working
is it possible you have h2 tag defined twice in the same stylesheet in the same medium, since you are pretty sure the cascading effect is not the issue.
i am not sure but good to check.
Code: Select all
h2{
some page break code
}
....
h2{
another page break value setting
}

Is there a Next Style option for headings
I'd like to set headings h1 to followup with a p.BodyText not a p after I press ENTER. Is this possible. I remember seeing something about an mc-next or something but i can't find it. Its popped up before somewhere on the forums, but its too common a keyword that the bulletin board/forum search ...

Re: page break?
Is anyone else having issues with Flare 5 as far as the page breaking in PDF output?
I double checked to make sure the stylesheet was set for print medium and page break: avoid, and yet it is still page breaking.

Not in this version.
I've submitted a request for this, - some snapping to straight lines.
If you're hoping to draw some callouts, try using the Flare's bubble callout alternatives if those are acceptable.

I opened a project in version 5--no changes. The PDF output is TERRIBLE--inconsistent spacing, bold and Italic don't show up where I want them, then show up where I don't. I will have to go back to 4.2.1 in order to print.
I am getting these errors in 5 that I didn't get in 4.2.1.

And your target-specific TOC has topics in it, topics that aren't conditionalized out at the topic level? And your target is set to use that TOC and not the master TOC?

I did that by applying a style class to those items in the TOC. Set up a class for TocEntry in the skin, then open the TOC item's properties Basic tab and choose the Style class .

Re: Table STYLES vs Table Classes
Also,
Avoid editing the TableStyle generated stylesheet with notepad,dreamweaver or text editor unless you're feeling a bit of a need for some challenge in life.
Flare's built-in TableStyle editor is pretty much the best there is, at this point in time for an XML/CSS tool or for a HATT.

Any help is greatly appreciated, as I'm having a bear of a time understanding how to find the simplest way to format tables consistently and easily. I've finally created a fairly complete brand new stylesheet. Next I will put it through the Global master project import process.
To answer the question, I use both. i use both, mediums and separate stylesheets.
The differentiating factor is when and how separate stylesheets are justified.
