this is my take, based on my oh so surface knowledge of DITA ..: :)
Topic based authoring...DITA
Multiple TOC....DITA Outlines
Multiple target ouputs ....DITA XSLT transforms
these are the things that appear to support DITA to me...but i think if i were more knowledgeable about DITA,

Re: Flare Help Index not Working
Have you also tested if your search is working at all?
You may need to register itcc.dll
its easy to do this though...just follow me..
Browse to
C:\Program Files\MadCap Software\MadCap Flare V3\Flare.app\Resources\Bin
Then click RegisterItcc.bat
done.
compile the project and test it.

hahaha

i used to think the only best examples of best web support would be efforts by the super large software companies...the microsofts, IBMs and dells.. looks like small to medium sized companies that we have a really good fighting chance too! an encouragemet to the rest of us...

Was called in to assist a manager who completely relied on the See Also links in the topic and the HTML Help index completely. never even looked at the toc to search.

Re: Making Search point to a single topic?
I was wondering if there was a way to force the Search to point to a specific topic when users search for certain terms? Am I missing something elementary?
Yes, I know I could turn those terms into Glossary popups. However, I'm not a big fan of doing that for something that users will only need to ...

Re: Linking translated versions of WH to application
I've you're going to do translation for help systems, snippets, variables and all the associated media, i suggest giving Lingo a shot, since it simplifies and speeds up the process substantially. Especially if you're going to do more than 1 translation. Download the trial at least, and see how it ...

I want to generate a PDF out of FrameMaker, which is the way God intended PDFs to be generated from FrameMaker files.
How do I get MCF to preserve my custom table styles with each reimport operation?
Did my team and I make a poor purchasing decision?
haha...:)

Did you change the Working folder paths recently in Source Safe and the project content ended up getting mapped. If not its just a matter of moving things out of the Snippets folder. I don't think i've heard of Flare moving images and topics into the snippets folder on purpose.

This non-underlined links is all over Vista, The Nooo York Times, even in Madcapsoftware's website.
Its quite the thing. And i agree though on some statements made earlier that, glossary links and standard links and popup links should at least be differentiated a bit.

You can only do this to paragraphs and headings with auto-numbers in the styles defined.
Repeat x to z.
Numbered steps are a type of special list. They are not paragraphs.
The numbers in list items will not show as you want them to.
Currently there is no option to display the numbers only in ...
