Let me start this off by saying that my Google Analytics knowledge is limited, so please bear with me! I just want to make sure I've got this right before proceeding.
Currently, I have the GA code embedded in my master pages, and we're able to track page views, etc. as expected. But I was told that ...

Good catch!!Nita Beck wrote:Are you using the TOC Depth feature In the PDF target? At what level in the TOC are your H1 topics? If they are nested one level down, then what you are describing is expected behavior if you're using TOC Depth.

Re: Cannot Update Logo Image
I experienced a similar issue with the background image for the Main Page style. I was also receiving a stack overflow error whenever I selected the Styles tab. I submitted it to tech support and was told it was an issue with IE9 + Flare 10. (I still use IE9 due to an internal tool that has not been ...

In your style sheet, what is the mc-heading-level attribute for your h1 style? I believe that if set to "0", the heading variable won't display.

I haven't tried it myself, but apparently Flare 10 does require SVN 1.8.x.

I've just started using Flare 10, and it appears that you can now apply transparent backgrounds for toolbar buttons!
I'll test further and report any issues here.

Ah! Thank you! I had mistakenly assumed that upon import, the files would then become read-only as well.Dave Lee wrote:The master project files on the network folder are read-only, but the imported files in local projects are not read-only; so I don't have any issues re-importing.

Re: How to import from 'global' project (2 authors using SVN)
We keep our global (imported) project on a network drive, so the path to that project is always the same from each PC.
Hi Dave,
I'm hoping you can provide some advice. We have 4 writers and have been using ClearCase version control integrated with our Flare projects. The global project is on the ...

Mind, opening all links in a new window could be incredibly annoying for the user - or is there a reason to do so?

Able to Define Target Frame for all Hyperlinks?
For our online help hyperlinks, we'd like to always launch a new window/browser tab. Is it possible to globally define the Target Frame behavior for hyperlinks (within the "a" hyperlink style in our stylesheet or similar), rather than for each individual link?

Re: Images in PDF output very small
Hmmm. Maybe check your style sheet and see if there is a max-width or max-height specified for the img style? If using a medium for your PDFs, make sure to check this medium specifically.
If not, maybe check the individual images to see if a "Print Size" was defined (right click the image > Edit ...

For the image compression options in your target file, is the "Downsample images..." option checked? If yes, I'd try unchecking it and regenerating your PDF.

Re: Print web TOC as a pdf?
If you want to automatically generate a Table of Contents that you can include in your PDF output, you'll need to create a topic and insert a TOC proxy. You may also need to modify the styles for the TOC proxy to get the exact look that you want.

Re: Multiple Languages
I agree with RamonS! We typically translate into 6 - 8 languages, and having separate projects for each language is the way to go.
Another thing we do is maintain translated style sheets. This is especially useful for Asian languages that require specific fonts/formatting. See this post for more ...

Yes, thanks Nita! I'm still getting used to terminology changes with SVN, and we haven't actually converted yet... :)
I believe our structure would be similar, but we'd have multiple Flare projects bound within the trunk.

Hi Nita,
We're using ClearCase and are considering moving to SVN. Based on your post, it sounds like each project has its own repository. Is this correct? Or can you have multiple projects in a single repository?
Thanks!
