SVG Images Not Displayed in HTML5 and Mobile
I need to add "Caution", "Warning", "Note" and "Tip" graphics to our existing div styles. I also need to single-source these images, so they can be used in an 8x11 PDF manual, a 4.75x4.75 PDF Quick Start guide, HTML5 website and Mobile outputs. The images are being inserted as a background image ...

Thanks! Bummer. Unfortunately, we've seen this problem with Flare 9.x.x. I will contact support.

Re: Unable to view HTML Help on local
You might need to re-register a DLL (itcc). Have a look at this thread that might help:

Re: CHM file causing application to crash
Hi TeSol,
Were you able to resolve this issue? We've seen similar behavior, but don't get the vshost32.exe error specifically. Instead, after browsing the topics and closing the CHM file, the CHM sometimes hangs and then the software application crashes.

Re: Unable to view HTML Help on local
We're encountering a similar issue. But in this case, the TOC shows up fine, but the topics are blank (no error messages). This is only happening on one PC (that we know of). The PC is running Windows 7. We've tried two versions of the same CHM - generated with Flare 9.1.1 and 9.1.2. However, the ...

Re: Transparent Background for Custom Toolbar Buttons?
Check what other styles are used; each button seems to have two classes, so it may use styles from another class too.
I'd suggest using Firebug or developer tools (mentioned above) to trace what styles are being set, then add corresponding styles to your skin.css to override these.
Thanks Dave ...

Re: Possible to modify Navigation Panel border width?
The width of the gap between navigation and topic panes after dragging is set by the MadCapAll.js script.
$("#contentBody").css(ai,(aj+ 5 )+"px") -- here 5 is the default gap width.
You can patch the MadCapAll.js script and change "5" to the value you want.

Almost there, but still a bit stuck. After posting this morning, I realized that when the buttons are pushed up into the header, they are no longer clickable/hyperlinked buttons. I'm using the following settings in my skin.css to force the buttons to display on the right-hand side in the header ...

Re: Transparent Background for Custom Toolbar Buttons?
The short answer is that you can't remove the background or gradient for toolbar buttons using the skin editor; as it doesn't allow you to set these to none (just Default , which uses the default colour), or to set their colour to transparent .
As a workaround, it would be possible to overwrite ...

Re: Linking Skin Logo to Project "Home" Page?
One thing to note - I removed the JavaScript code from the WYSIWYG, but when I built the output, the logo still linked to our website. I had to open the skin file in the internal text editor and manually remove the script.

Yes, thanks! We tried un-checking the DOCTYPE declaration too (without any meta tag in the master page header). Unfortunately, it caused other characters to be garbled for us.

Re: Wrong character display in asian CHM with Flare 9
We had the exact same problem with Flare 9. The original problem we noticed was in the English CHM, trademarks and copyrights were garbled. But that problem was only occurring on one PC, and didn't occur on that PC when using Flare 8. We contacted support and they recommended we add the following to ...
