Re: "Dot" for Bubble mode

I would select both the box and the dot, right click on them and choose Group Selected Items.
Then right click on it again and add it to the Palette.
You can then use the set up over and over from the Palette by dragging onto different images.

You can make the circle smaller and less transparent ...

Re: Flare using HUGE amounts of RAM

Analyzer can be a cause on its initial scan. Once that's complete, it should no longer be an issue.
Flare maintains live links in its UI linking topics (files) to their condition settings.
If you have lots of topics in a single folder causing Content Explorer to scroll several pages, try turning ...

Re: Overflow error in Flare v6.1

Based on what Im reading, I would assume the layout your editing in is Layout(print).
There is a table in the topic and I also assume this topic is several pages long.
When you paste content into the topic, it kicks off the pagination engine which re-applies the page breaks based on settings from ...

Re: "Dot" for Bubble mode

You mean something like this?
Its not an option per say, but you can add one.
I used "Oval Mode" to create the circle. Made the background orange and set the transparancy to 77.
Then viewing Object Layers, I moved the circle to the back (below the bubble).

Re: Whats the best way to exit a MadCapDrop Down Control?

Use the down arrow on your keyboard.
Watch the block bars on the left side of the editor. When the block that contains the Dropdown turns blue, press the enter key.
It will insert a new paragraph below the dropdown.

Are there files missing from the translated bundles or have any of the ...

Re: Change of emtpy-element XML tags into start/end-tag pairs

This came from the RoboHelp project. Moving from Flare V5 to V6 would not cause that to happen.
In RoboHelp X7, They insert variables using the following code (taken from their sample project):
<uservariable name=Corkscrew_anemone x-format=Corkscrew_anemone
x-value="Macrodactyla doreensis" x ...

Re: WebHelp Plus on Windows Server 2008R2 64 bit, IIS7

WebHelp Plus from Flare V5 will not work on Server 2008R2 (IIS7) because of changes made in how the server indexes.

Windows Server 2003 and prior used the Windows Indexing service to index/catalog the output of WHP. The ConfigureISForWebHelpPlus.exe configured this making the content show up in the ...

Re: all content erased! help

Redskins,
If its all greyed out, then you are probably in a Pagelayout vs a MasterPage.
Usually you can undo any deletes by clicking the Undo button on the toolbar. If you've saved it and closed it, then that option won't be available.
Open the PageLayout in the editor.
On the toolbar of the ...

Its something on our side.
We recently made some changes to our entire website and I have a feeling that caused this.
I have our webmasters looking into this and hopefully we'll have it back up and running soon.

Tanks for your patience.

Re: How to remove the profile in a Capture screenshot

Patt,
Think of 'Profiles" as a one way street. They apply settings to images and those settings stick. Its a quick way to alter images as they are captured.
Removing a profile from an image by detaching it does not remove the settings or styles that were applied to that image when it was captured ...

Re: Aligning tables with text

Quick tip:
If you set the margin left for your table and it does not move, check the properties for the table (Right click on table and choose Table Properties).
Make sure the "Align" property on the General tab is set to (default). This would be considered an "in-line style" and will over ride the ...

Re: What's the difference between 'default' and 'as is'?

David is correct.

(As is) means multiple properties are set.
To check this:
Open a style sheet up in the Simplified View.
Set the H1 style to align Left.
Set the H2 style to align Center.
Set the H3 style to align Right.

Select all three styles, right click, and choose properties.
Notice the ...

Re: Order of Files Listed in Content Explorer

We have seen this before and almost all the time its a setting in your registry.
Content Explorer gets its information from your OS.
Somewhere in there, there is a setting that sorts files up to a certain number. After that, they display in a 'Random' order so to speak.
Because I cannot suggest ...

Eric,
If you click Translate > Export TMX

I saw one question that I don't think had an answer yet and it was how to make a copy of your project to send out for translation.

The easiest way to make a copy of your Flare project is to use the ZIP feature in Flare. Its located in the File menu.
You can Zip your project which will only include ...
