Slight misunderstanding, there.
Flare always outputs everything, even if a style or class is invalid. Flare just displays it with default formatting. If you want to be rid of that line in your online output, you'll need to exclude it with a condition.

Another reason is when a project uses external resources.
Font Awesome and Glyph Icons both provide their own CSS to support their icon packages. I use Laura Johnson's Tabbing system and keep its CSS separate even though it's small and easily added to the primary css.

Here's a link to your version's docs:

I took a look at the docs and the function works about the same. I think at this point, because that's a bug that everyone would have noticed, that I'd re-install Flare. It seems ...

Hi Ed,
I haven't tried that, myself. If you head over to the Flare Slack channels you might find someone who has done some object embedding. I've only used it in Word.

Sure, no worries.
I keep a couple test projects to play with features before trying them out in my docset. It works well for me when testing ideas or troubleshooting. My primary project takes >6 minutes to build, so reproducing any issues in a 1 minute-build project is much better for me

Re: Conditions inside H1 that includes mc:autonum
Hi Lars,
Verify that you are in fact using the H1 in the default section for your html output.
Now look for "@media print" and find the h1 in there. That's the where the H1 containing autonum info should live.

Re: Wonky hyperlink behavior
You'll find that text links always work that way. Whitespace belongs to no one :-)
You can "own" it via CSS, though, and then they'll work the way you want them too work.
Add this CSS:
<div class="Your-div">
<a href="http://harveysquatlowllc.com" class="hidden-link">Your Link Text</a>

Re: Hover Image Map
Hi Melodie,
You can do that in Flare using CSS overlays to highlight the hotspots, but it's non-trivial.
The image map needs to be inside a div to allow for absolute positioning and you'll need to create a piece of css for each hotspot in the map.
The div class holds the imagemap. You can name ...

Hiya,
Nope, that how it works. They're sort of separate S/R functions. With Find, Flare thinks you're working on the current topic in view. Find In Files is just that.
The title for "Find Elements" is unfortunate, but that one is only for the file that you're currently editing.

I've noticed it in 2022 and 2023.
I kept meaning to add a bug report, but forgot.
Yeah, having to restart Flare because it forgot I have keyboard is annoying.

Hi Juliamaria,
Sorry, but that is so far, almost entirely manual. Flare doesn't natively support Flex for _us_, even though it's used elsewhere.
You can still use Flex even though flare throws a flex not supported line in the message window. Lots of us are using Flex in various ways.

The first thing I'd do is see if there's another h4 definition.
I suggest viewing in a browser and using DevTools to see where H4 is getting it's styling.

Hi,
Flare's Work-Opportunities Channel
If you aren't using Slack, you can send me a PM with your email address to get an invitation. It's not an "official" MadCap workspace as it's run by the community.

Hi Elin,
Sorry, Flare isn't able to do that on it's own.
But depending on your goal there are other approaches. Homer Christensen did a flitering system in flare that could work for you. It's based on the glossary.

Hi,
Don't forget to update the gif locations. I move mine into my Resources/Images/chrome where I keep madcap image files that I want handy.

/* removes the transparent png */
