No, there is no UI confusion. The Quick Search applies search highlighting correctlyl to the topic currently on screen (unless it is a non-html file loaded into AutoSearch).
The Search button returns results from the entire system with each search, but no keywords are highlighted when you view any ...

Re: Search Highlighting does not mark search keywords
Search is not working. Quick Search works fine.
A search returns results, but nothing is highlighted in any of the topics.

Re: Search Highlighting does not mark search keywords
Since the original posting, I have added new content to this project. The search highlighting does not work even for materials compiled into the help system.
Is search highlighting simply not supported for WebHelp Plus systems?

Re: filtered searching in merged projects
I found something else that might help--an easier way to merge search filter lists.
If you open your master list in notepad, you see something like this:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<CatapultSearchFilterSet>
<SearchFilter
Name="Cows"
Comment=""
Concepts="Cows" />
<SearchFilter ...

Re: Redirect a topic landing page to a sub-project topic
This is new territory for me, but I got a basic redirect to work without too much trouble. I found a redirect script at http://www.instant-web-site-tools.com/html-redirect.html and tried inserting it into a topic of a compiled help system to see if I could get one topic to redirect to another. (This ...

Re: filtered searching in merged projects
I did some additional testing on filters. What still seems to work for me is a master filter list in the top-level project. In my case, I have a single topic project to use as an interface. Since this topic contains only a splash screen (i.e., no content to which to assign concept entries), I had to ...

Cannot add non-html content to list of favorites
Non-html content placed in the AutoSearch folder of a WebHelp Plus project may be searched and viewed just fine, but you cannot add any of these topics to your list of favorites. Is there a way around this?

Re: Redirect a topic landing page to a sub-project topic
I'm not sure I'm entirely clear on what you are attempting to do. Are you trying to launch subprojects from a splash screen or main page?
How are your subprojects loaded in to your master project?
This may be a little different from what you are doing, but maybe it'll help. I have created a ...

Re: Search Highlighting does not mark search keywords
The system in question contains only one topic. I have created a single topic system to use as a front-end for a knowledge base containing multiple help systems and third-party content. However, I added a topic and compiled a WebHelp output to test it--the search highlighting worked just fine.
The ...

Search Highlighting does not mark search keywords
I'm troubleshooting a WebHelp Plus system and have noticed that my search highlighting is not working. When I perform a search, none of the search keywords are highlighted in the results. From what I understand, third-party documents placed in the AutoSearch folder won't work with search ...

Multiple WebHelp systems on the same server?
I am trying to figure out a way to configure a WebHelp Plus Knowledge Base where content loaded into the AutoSearch and AutoMerge folders can be restricted to specific groups of users. From what I've seen, the only way to accomplish this is to host multiple instances on separate servers (not a ...

WebHelp Plus search returns no title or paragraph style name
Third-party documents added to a compiled WebHelp Plus project (by copying files to the AutoSearch folder) do not appear correctly in a search. In some cases, a ranking appears next to the entry but the entry title is blank. In other cases, the title displayed is the name of the format used for the ...

I have been working on something very similar to what you are doing. I have a single topic WebHelp Plus project that serves as the front end to a knowledge base containing several help systems and other third-party content. I have loaded the output files from the other help systems (also in WebHelp ...
