I can't seem to have a word in the middle of a variable that has a certain style attached to it.
Like... if I wanted one of the words in the variable to be bold, for example, can I do that?
Actually, right now I can't seem to assign a style (like bold) to a variable inline, either. Tried adding ...

HTML importing, interface quirks
Hi all,
I just started my trial of Flare. I'm sure I'll have a lot of questions. These are about importing my HTML (compiled DocBook, actually).
1. When importing a Word file, you can do some cool mapping... such as telling Flare to start a new Topic with each H2 (or whatever). Is there anyway to ...

Re: What is your experience integrating WebHelp into your site?
Interesting... your tool allows CSH calls from a PHP program... just like the URL method described in the MadCap's help library? So... it opens up a WebHelp window, or it somehow grabs the content of a topic and displays it within our drupal-based CMS? That would be pretty cool... I think.

What is your experience integrating WebHelp into your site?
Hi,
We have a joomla Web site, a drupal-CMS based Web site, and several simple HTML Web sites with CSS.
What I've seen people do with Flare output so far is just put up a link on their site that launches a new WebHelp dedicated window.
Does anyone have experience creating a tighter integration? We ...

Re: Managing source/version control? How're you doing it?
Hi-- a quick two-cents from someone still shopping for Flare--
I've used source control using RCS on the source files for all of my documentation (we write in plain text and then compile with DocBook tools).
The advantage comes when many people are working on a document and I can compare versions ...

Flare on a Macintosh, Using Parallels?
Can a Mac user report on how well Flare works on a Macintosh, using Parallels? I have found a few comments by searching these forums, but I'd love to hear comments and advice on the overall experience.
So far I've learned:
*It works!
*Parallels with Vista was annoying enough to make one user set ...

Re: How does Flare support DITA?
Perhaps it would be accurate to say that Flare can be used with the DITA philosophy, but that it might lack some nifty tools for managing things in a DITA way? It seems to support the topic-based, chunk-based approach that people talk about in relation to DITA, and it has conditional structuring ...
