Re: Background-color not working for print TOC entries

I tried creating a brand new project using the wizard. Same result so I have submitted a bug.

Thanks

Re: Background-color not working for print TOC entries

You haven't said what medium you've set the background color in. Check p.TOC1 in the medium you use for PDF and see if a different background color is being set there.

Thanks Nita. I was using the print medium in my stylesheet and in my target settings. I checked that the declaration block only ...

Background-color not working for print TOC entries

Hi,

In my stylesheet I have the following:

p.TOC1
{
color: blue;
background-color: red;
}

After making these settings the p.TOC1 style in my PDF turns blue, as expected. However, the background behind the text remains white when I expected it to turn red. Is background-color not supported ...

Re: Replicate ToC depth in Mini ToC

As to the depth of the TOC, make sure that you aren't trying to use a MiniToc Proxy in a document that has headings. MiniToc proxies show headings in other documents that are children of the topic in the target's TOC, but they won't show headings within the topic that they are in (which is kind of ...

Buttons disappear with custom JS in HTML5 tripane

Hi,

I am finding that when I add custom javascript to the toolbar page in a HTML5 tripane skin it has the side effect of removing the toolbar buttons e.g Print, Previous Topic, Next Topic, Select Language....

Is this just the way it is ? So once I start using any javascript at all I need to use ...

Re: How to stop HTML5 tripane navigation bar auto-hiding

Thanks Ramon. I didn't realise that responsive output worked that way -- I just assumed it detected the physical screen width. Guess I should read the help file... :-)

How to stop HTML5 tripane navigation bar auto-hiding

Hi,

I have a HTML5 tripane output. I open it in IE and it looks good. However, I find that if I reduce the browser width (by dragging the left or right edge inwards) there comes a point where the left navigation (Contents and Index tabs) suddenly disappears. Is there a way to stop this happening? I ...

Re: How do I change the Header background in an HTML5 skin?

It's ok I figured it out...there is a background image set by default in the skin and I did not realize this. When I set it to None the colour appears.

cheers,

Adrian

Thanks Dave, but I already tried that and in my case it does not seem to do anything. I changed it to red but it still shows as the default dark grey:

Re: How do I change the Header background in an HTML5 skin?

Hi, I have the same issue. Did you ever find out how to do this?

It seems there is a way to do it with the top nav skin but not the tripane skin. Not sure if this is a bug or I am missing something?

For top nav skin it is set under Header>Background>Color as shown in the screenshot:

Re: Changing default language for multilingual HTML5 outputs

Ignore this, I just realized I made a mistake with the test I did...the language that gets used by default is not the one for the project that is used to build the outputs, but the default language of the browser...which is what I want.

Changing default language for multilingual HTML5 outputs

When you make a multilingual HTML5 output (using Flare 12) the default language seems to be determined by the "master" project that you run the build from. In my case, that is English. So when the user first clicks the Help menu command or a context sensitive help button the topic opens in English ...

Would also be good if when you right-click the TOC itself you have the option to "Close all Documents except this one" but that cmd is not available for TOCs.

Re: Close all documents except this one...and the TOCs!

Thanks Nita, at least I am not alone! :-)

I think in my enhancement request (it was a few years back) I suggested a new tab in the Options window with a list of file types that would be effected by these commands and you just select the ones you want. But I like your idea of pinning particular ...

Close all documents except this one...and the TOCs!

1. I open a Flare TOC window and position it just as I like it.
2. Then I work on my topics.
3. Then I want to close all the topics except the one I am working on so I right-click it and select "Close all documents except this one".
Result: All topics close as expected, but the TOC also closes and ...

Enhancement Request for "Close All Documents..." command

Hi,

I just put in an enhancement request to make the "Close All Documents Except This One" command configurable. It's a handy command but it drives me nuts that it closes the TOC(s) when I only want it to close the topic files. If anyone else shares my frustration, please submit an enhancement ...

That's great! I had just skipped past that control thinking it must do something vaguely similar to the view-switching Layout control you get for topics.

Thank you very much Marjorie!

How to select the frame behind in page layout

Got a problem that is driving me nuts. I am editing the page layout. I added a header and body frame. Then I wanted a border to go around the whole page about 0.5 inches in from the edge, so to do this I added a decoration frame. The body and header frames are smaller so can be seen within it.

Now ...

Re: Deleting unused bookmarks

Thanks Lisa,

I see from your reply I didn't phrase things very well.

Suppose I have this in my topic code:
<h4><a name="Test_29670"></a>About Care Documentation</h4>

I run Analyzer and it identifies "Test_29670" as an unlinked bookmark. So I delete it (in Analyzer) and then open the topic code in ...

Deleting unused bookmarks

Hi,

I just downloaded the trial version of Analyzer.
I opened a Flare project and looked for unlinked bookmarks.
There were a few hundred (a spillover from the original conversion from Frame), but the trial version just shows 10 at a time. No problem with that.
I selected the 10 it showed and ...
