We really want a single-file - for a whole variety of reasons. One is that the automated build process of the main software sucessfully compiles into various platforms from Linux to Windows. Hence .air is ideal for what we require.

The developers I'm authoring HTML Help for are porting their Windows application from Windows to Apple Mac.

My understanding is that Flare can produce .air files, but I'd appreciate if someone could either point me to some sort of Knowledge Base article on the subject, or perhaps provide some ...

Having finally resolved the lack of images thanks to the forum, I'm struggling (or perhaps just too tired) to resolve two other issues.

1) I'd like to limit my TOC to just the first four levels. Where is this done?

This error appears usually because you have either not logged in and run as Administrator, or have User Account Control (UAC) turned on.

(You'll find more via Google if that doesn't work.)

I'm struggling to find information in Flare 5's Help regarding the creation of what I knew in RoboHelp as "Topic ID's". Is this known by some other name in Flare? "Topid IDs" are listed in the Flare's Help Index, but the Subject that comes up is "Before you Import"!?

I don't know about elsewhere, but in our market segment in the UK, Windows 7 has taken off, especially among Vista users.

Yes, I have the same problem, made worse by the fact that I have to re-capture quite literally HUNDREDS of application dialogs originally created in Windows XP, now required from Windows 7. Ironically if I use the Windows 7 Snipping Tool saving as a .jpg, and import that, it's O.K.

Well I have actually now found out why Active Windows in Windows 7 get clipped. It's due to Aero being turned on.

Turn Aero OFF, and all is well. Not quite the answer I was wanting, but I have probably saved 20-30 hours of work. (Rather than copy an area of the screen)

What you say makes sense. However we're certainly NOT going to release any software until we are 100% certain that the RTM version is what is actually released to Jo Public on day 1.

Having amended an HTML Project, all that remains is to rename the Title which appears in the Title Bar when you open the .chm file.

Could some kind soul put me out of my misery please, and tell me where I change this?
