Re: Ctrl + Mouse wheel resizing
There are two criteria for this to work in XP
1) The .chm must use HTML font sizing.
2) Focus MUST be on a topic Window. (F6 will usually move focus from TOC to Topic window)
If needs be, I can upload a small .chm which I know works.

Re: Ctrl + Mouse wheel resizing
O.K. It's been a bad day, and I've just found the real problem.
My Flare project WILL enlarge and reduce font size with Alt + M/wheel - in Windows XP - but NOT in Vista.
Dunb question - but what's so different about Vista and .chm files?
So unless anyone has any ideas, I guess it's ...

Trust me - I know it has worked in the past.
If you use Ctrl +m/wheel when viewing this message, does it work?

Ctrl + Mouse wheel resizing
Because many of our users are partially sighted, we need the functionality of varying screen font size by holding down the Ctrl key, and scrolling the mouse wheel. Having imported an RH-X5 project, I having difficulty figuring out how to set the font attributes to allow this. I thought it was simply ...

Re: Missing linked source file: - BSSCDHTM.js
Many thanks. Problem resolved by removing the offending lines. It would be nice if Flare's RH importer got rid of them for you - one less thing for the new user to get worried about.

Well, here's Madcap's response:
"This is a known issue with the CHM output. Due to the fact that CHM output does not support in-page anchors, a workaround needs to be developed to solve this shortcoming.

Links to Bookmarks
Before I finally go nuts and balistic, can someone confirm the following please?
I import a Project from RoboHelp-X5 in which is a Topic with a 200+ row table which contains Bookmarks against each row.
In Flare, I create Hyperlinks from a separate Topic to the Topic containing the above table.

Re: Print 101 Tips to Get You To Pro Design Status
A nice check list - thank you!
You wouldn't consider writing "Flare - Printed Documentation for the complete Dork" would you? Put me down for the first copy please?
Or does anyone know if something similar has been published yet? I'm continually being tripped up by the stupidest things - even ...

Re: Copying and Pasting
What I've ended up doing is just that, and then copying and pasting between Flare files/Topics.
Unfortunately, out here in the real world, authors will throw us their revised text of a complete Topic in Word files, which as often as not don't even have "Revisions" turned on, and expect us to just ...

That had been a consideration, but I'm afraid there were more than the odd few.
I'd have gone as blind as my users as there were literally hundreds.

Re: Copying and Pasting
Thanks for that. I've posted a bug/suggestion report as suggested.
I guess the only work round is to copy all the paragraphs to a Word file, save the files as an HTML file, then import to Flare and let Flare convert it to it's own format. Finally copy and paste between Flare files.

Copying and Pasting
I need to copy and paste multiple paragraphs from Word 2003 into Flare 3.1. However, I'm loosing the paragraph breaks.
I'm obviously doing something stupid - but what?
