We are using Flare 2018 R2 here in the UK, to assist in authoring a project based in the USA where GIT is used.
Of late we have been having 2 serious issues:
1) Conflicts, where say 3 out of 4 can be resolved by simply rejecting changes made in the UK. But the 4th stubbornly refuses to allow any ...

Stop images appearing in TOCS only
I'm sure the answer is buried in Help somewhere, but cannot locate it.

Did you ever find out how to resolve this?
The same happens with Flare's Index. I've scoured Madcap's on line Help without finding anything helpful.
Like you, we need to be section 508 compliant, especially as our software is designed to produce braille.,

Re: Problems with Source-Control-Bound in Flare
We cannot yet be totally certain, but it does look like Flare 2017's implementation of the git side of things is somewhat suspect in our case.
Some nasty things have crawled out of the woodwork.

Madcap got a copy of our project (last Wednesday), and on Friday say they have the same problems.

Re: Using git with Flare for first time - best practices?
I'm no expert with git, but I am pretty much like you in terms of use being "almost" the sole user.
The primary purpose of git, even as a sole user, is to provide you with a backup. Each time you commit and push, you create a Restore Point.
I often do skip the "Pull" if I am 110% sure that no one ...

I should have added that we have Platinum Maintenance, and a case was logged around a week ago.
We've had exchanges and suggestions, and none have worked. And yet on the same system, V12 appears to be unaffected. Madcap even have the project.

Just for info, I'm using an HP Pro desktop with 8 Gb of RAM, and a 500 Gb SSD.

Is anyone else having performance problems with Flare 2017?
I've been using V12 which is still fine, but the new version is simply unusable. I suspect it may be a local issue as I have not seen any similar comments on this forum.
Any suggestions as to what to look for?

Re: Problems with Source-Control-Bound in Flare
I'm hopefully not seen as hi-jacking this topic, but the mention of Flare 2017, GIT and slowness made me look twice.
We've been using Flare 12 since release, always updated when advised. The only slowness problem there has been deleting files.

Re: Moving to BitBucket
Provided Flare's Bind Detection can be linked to BitBucket with the GIT option checked, you may well be in luck. Since both Flare and BitBucket have free trials, you may well be able to prove things one way or the other.

Am I missing a setting somewhere here?

I was going to post a question here, but this may well be a good place.

Keep lines together and Keep with Next
Flare 12, and likely it may be my lack of print/type setting language here.
In Word there are two valuable features which I'm struggling to find the equivalent of in Flare.
The first is a Style setting - "Keep Lines Together". It simply prevents any one paragraph being split over 2 pages.

Apologies if this is not the correct forum to ask, but we are working through a GIT server.

Re: Files with changes
I seem to have found a solution almost by accident. I removed the Contents topic, and it built the PDF OK - albeit with a TOC at the very beginning. That at least was a start - if a surprising one.
I then copied Contents from another working TOC and all still works.
I could not see anything ...

Guess I'll have to pass it to Madcap, but I do hate this kind of error. Like the famous Microsoft one telling you to contact your administrator - which I $%^%$ am!!!

Did you ever get an answer to your question?
You can adjust the TOC# settings in your .css. If it comes though OK, the screen shot is of the <p> tag expanded.
