Thank you, everyone! The project isn't imported--I've been creating it natively in Flare this year.
I use DreamWeaver to do any kind of burly search-and-replace on the code in my Flare topics, so I may do that (making a backup first, as recommended).
Again, thanks!
Regards,
Marina

Re: WebHelp search returns wrong capitalization
Thank you, both of you! That was the problem--it was still uppercase inside the <title> element. Where can I change from explicitly defining the topic title to (Always use first topic heading)?

WebHelp search returns wrong capitalization
Recently, we changed CONSUME to Consume in our help documentation. All the topic titles, TOC entries, and index entries are in the right case now. However, when I searched for Consume to see if I had gotten all the pages, two of the search entries were capitalized. Does anyone know what might cause ...

Comments for file tag reports?
I have created a set of file status tags for the online help project I am working on. As needed, I generate a report and email it to the project manager so she can see which topics haven't been written yet and the status of those topics that have been written (we have an editing and review chain ...

Re: Is it possible to have project notes within Flare?
Actually, we are in the process of creating the online help and I am in the process of indexing it for the first time, which means there aren't expectations yet to be met. And although I suppose I could use the defect tracking system as a "to do" list while developing the index, I prefer not to. I ...

Moving files in COntent Explorer
Belatedly, I have decided to have subfolders in the Content Explorer to better organize the files (I was just using a file naming process). However, I haven't been able to figure out how to move more than one file at a time. Is there any way I can select a bunch of files and drag them all into a ...

Re: Is it possible to have project notes within Flare?
Thank you, everyone, for your comments and information. I've enabled the "exclude" option; that seems a perfect solution for my situation.
Ramon, you asked why have it within the project, and why not use defect tracking?

Re: Is it possible to have project notes within Flare?
Thanks, Ramon. I try to conserve paper as much as possible, so was using the backsides of printouts as well. For now, I have created a topic (that isn't linked to anything) that has my notes--tidier and paper free! Where do I submit a feature request?

Is it possible to have project notes within Flare?
I have a running list of little things to do to the help project I am creating (ephemeral things, such as touch one topic or fix a typo in the index). My process right now is to write these on a piece of paper and cross them off as I do them. But what I'd really like to do is have some place inside ...

I remembered that salesforce was involved, so I searched for that keyword, and found this:

I'm going to try the fieldset method first.

Suggestions on an attractive Note format?
A few years ago, there was a discussion of attractive Note formats for WebHelp. I even remember creating one myself (with help from this forum)! But I don't recall at all what was involved. The format I created had lines around it, with the word Note in the top line, something like this:
--- Note ...

How do I get letter headings in the glossary pane?
I am creating a WebHelp help system. I am using the glossary pane for the glossary, and would like letters to separate the glossary items alphabetically. E.g.,
==A==
ardvarks
apples
==B==
beer
Beguine
==C==
cats
etc.
Is this supported for the WebHelp glossary pane? I did the following, but none ...

IN case anyone is wondering, I recommended Flare and that is now what we have. I tried the latest RH and ePublisher, but neither was nearly as suitable for what we wanted to do.

Re: Different page layout for different topics
Thank you, Dave and crdmerge. I know I did this before when I was using Flare 4, so I thought it must be possible in Flare 7. I haven't had a chance yet to try this, but with your help I am sure I will get it done.

Renaming default.htm
How do I rename the output file of a WebHelp project? For example, instead of Default.htm, I'd like to name the file using the project name. Thanks!

Formatting index entries
I would like to format my index entries in the following specific ways. Is it possible in WebHelp?
1. For "See" references, I'd like the "see" topic to be on the same line, and I'd like the "see" to be in italics. For example,
main entry
subentry. See other subentry.

Different page layout for different topics
I am creating a WebHelp topic and would like to have a different layout for my title page topic (for example, I don't want to have breadcrumbs appear on that page). I thought I needed to do this with a new master page, but what I read said that you can only use one master page per target. So my ...

Thanks, everyone. I love Flare, especially since I was able to use it to create a help system from scratch without knowing a thing about it; I came up to speed so quickly I was amazed. (Knowing HTML and CSS helped a bunch, though.)

Choosing a new HAT
I have a new job and am researching HATs that have internal editors (i.e., like Flare, where you can create the content within Flare), but that also bring in source files but retain links to those files (like FrameMaker/WebWorks). I have only ever used RoboHelp (long, long ago), ePublisher (ditto ...
