Hello,
I'm seeing a strange issue in Flare 8 where lines in random topics are broken after a single word (see example below). There doesn't seem to be a pattern to this occurrence - it seems completely random. These line breaks do not appear when the topics are viewed in Flare 7.

Hello,

Concept link styles
Hello,
Is there a way to change the default hover state background color for the Concept Links fly-out menu (blue background in the example below)? None of the MadCap | concept styles in the style sheet seem to relate to this. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Forced break in printed output
Lisa,
Yes! That was it - I had a declaration of "margin-bottom: 250px;" assigned to the body selector. Removing that value resolved the problem.
That bottom margin is required for our online outputs to clear the footer div in our online Master Page, but, obviously, it isn't needed for our print ...

Forced break in printed output
Hello,
I'm encountering a strange issue where a break of some kind is being applied to all pages (except for the cover) in PDF output. Below is an example. The area indicated by the red outline appears on every page, across several different Page Layouts:

Re: Linking between merged WebHelp topics
Thanks for the assistance. I followed the instructions jacortes provided, and was able to resolve the issue. It turns out I had miscounted the levels between the topic I was linking from and the Subsystems folder - so I had one less "../" in the path than I needed. All set.

Re: WebHelp Plus: Unable to preview output
The last time I tried I was still encountering this issue, but I have not been working with WebHelp Plus for a few weeks. I expect to get back into it shortly. I will let you know if anything has changed.

Linking between merged WebHelp topics
Hello,
I generate a master WebHelp system that is merged with a separate "child" WebHelp system at build time - the source for which is placed in a "Subsystems" folder in the master output directory. The master contains a TOC entry topic with links to topics in the child. To this point, I have not ...

Re: Unable to scroll topics in WebHelp
Update: there was a script file in the Sandcastle-generated output that contained a overflow value that was set to hidden . I set this to auto , and I'm now able to scroll in long topics that require it. So it was an overflow value issue - just not where I expected to find it. Thanks for your help ...

Re: Unable to scroll topics in WebHelp
Hi Ramon,
I looked at one of the topics that was being cut off in the local Text Editor but did not see any styles that would override what is in the style sheet. Still perplexed.

Re: Unable to scroll topics in WebHelp
Update: the cause of this problem may not be style sheet specific. I assigned a different style sheet in Flare, generated the WebHelp, and the imported Sandcastle-generated content was still cut off with no scroll bar displayed. Something appears to be overriding the style sheet somehow.
Any ideas?

Re: Unable to scroll topics in WebHelp
Dave,
Thanks for the suggestion. I had thought of that, too, but didn't find any instances where overflow was set to hidden . Whatever the issue is, it seems to be specific to the presentation .css used in Sandcastle (and then later imported into Flare). I have one topic in the project that uses a ...

Hello,

Re: WebHelp: Linking TOC entry to chm Help
Thanks Ramon.
What led me to believe I could do this was the following text from the Flare Help, in the Linking to CHM Files topic (bold text in particular):
You can include a CHM file in the TOC in your project so that it can be opened in your output.
If you do this when generating HTML Help ...

Re: WebHelp Plus: Unable to preview output
Update: I didn't see a "Run as Admin" option when I right clicked on the Flare program icon, which is what prompted this post, but I just noticed there is an option buried in the Properties dialog. I've enabled that, and will test the outcome once the current build completes.
