Hello,
I added a fixed footer div to our Help outputs (highlighted in yellow in the graphic below). I'm noticing that it conceals content in some longer topics. I am unable to scroll enough so that the content clears the footer. Is there a way to fix this through css? I'm guessing I could add an ...

Thanks for the reply. After a little more trial, I figured out that was the issue.

Hello,
Is there a way to force a WebHelp TOC to automatically show the current topic you are viewing? Currently, if you're in one topic, and you follow a link to another topic elsewhere in the Help, the TOC does not update to show you where you are in the structure. Note that we do use navigation ...

Re: Text styles not saving in Page Layout frames
Lisa,
Good to know - I will keep that in mind. I believe I based my test Page Layout on the ChapterLetter template, but I will go back and check. In the meantime, I have been able to get the styles in the page layout frames using local formatting. Not ideal, I know, but these I are styles I don't ...

Re: Text styles not saving in Page Layout frames
I created a new Page layout and added a new footer frame to each page in the layout. In the footer frames, I created a three-column table, added text, and applied the td. styles as before. I'm experiencing the same issues:

Re: Text styles not saving in Page Layout frames
Lisa,
I looked at one of the offending Page Layouts in the text editor, and it turns out I did have a few inline styles applied. I removed them. I then edited the frame in the Page Layout and re-applied the td styles by clicking on the td block for each cell and selecting the appropriate td style ...

Issues with System.ChapterNumber variable
Hello,
I'm working on a outline TOC for pdf output. For each chapter break, I'm using a single topic that contains the text "Chapter" and the System.ChapterNumber variable.
Capture of the Chapter.htm topic setup:

Re: Text styles not saving in Page Layout frames
Perhaps I didn't do this the proper way. I simply applied the td. text styles from the Styles window to the text in the table cells.

Re: Text styles not saving in Page Layout frames
Lisa,
I tried using paragraph styles inside the table cells as well (I created p. styles to match the td. styles), with no change in result. The styles still are not retained after a save.
I'm not sure I understand your question regarding applying styles to the td block. Could you clarify?
Thanks ...

Re: Text styles not saving in Page Layout frames
I tried as you suggested: edited the text in a frame in one page, saved the changes, then modified the text in a frame in another page and saved those changes. None of the changes in either page were retained. Sounds like a bug.

Re: Text styles not saving in Page Layout frames
Hi Lisa,
Thanks for the reply. In this case, the target associated with this Page Layout (PDF) is not the primary target, but it does use the same stylesheet that is assigned to the primary target (WebHelp). The styles are not correct in the xml editor or the pdf output.
Todd

Different Master Page for each TOC book?
I'd like to use a different header/banner style at the topic level for each book in our master TOC (one header/banner style for each book) as a visual aide to remind users what book they are looking at. Short of adding a div style to every topic in the project - something I really don't want to do ...

Re: Drop-down menus in WebHelp
Thanks Laura. I was planning to use togglers as a Plan B if I could not figure out a way to implement a more slick mechanism for this. Togglers should do the trick.

Integrating Sandcastle Output with Flare
Hi,

Renaming a project
Is there a way to rename a Mimic project once it has been created? The name I chose for one of my projects is rather long, and has resulted in some path length issues with Perforce. It would be great if I could simply shorten the project name.
Thanks.
Thanks.
