Hi
I'm probably doing something elementary here, but I can no longer apply stylesheets to my topics in the Topic Properties dialog as the Stylesheet selection field is deactivated.

Flare changing table settings; odd appearance in editor
Hi again.
Two related issues.
I have Notes formatted as 1-column tables, 100% page width, applied through a table style
I figured that it would be best to have table width set as 100% and column width set as Auto. Flare, however, seems to think better, and resets both table width and column width ...

Re: Topic Identifier Not Declared in Any Header File
Hi
Was this ever resolved? If so, how, please?
I have the same message in my build log for 100+ files.
The project is an import from RoboHelp. As far as I can see the topics in question are not all referenced in context-sensitive help. I think that the issue comes from entries in Related Topics ...

Re: Changing temporary files folder
Thanks for the advice doc_guy. My case is like Kevin's: The auto build takes the .chm, and a variety of other doc and non-doc files from Perforce.
That doesn't interfere with the primary function of Perforce, which is to maintain the source in its various stages of development so that it can be ...

Re: Changing temporary files folder
Thanks, guys.
That seems to have done the trick.
I need the output folder, as that is where my compiled help goes. Have deleted my personal user folder from Perforce. The mistake, I suppose, was doing a bulk check-in of all folders in the Flare project, without realising that the temp files were ...

Sounds good.
I'll give these suggestions a go and report back.

Changing temporary files folder
Is there any way of setting the location of the temporary files folder? Is in Output > aheard, within the Flare folder hierarchy.
Have to do manual check in/check out for Perforce source control. Is not necessary for temp files to be kept in source control. Also, Perforce naturally complains when ...

Re: Page down/up behaviour erratic
Actually it looks like a page-specific problem. I prepared a new example for support, same nested tables - that, of course, behaved itself - page scroll as you'd expect.
The problem page was converted from RoboHelp X5. Something in the code structure, I suspect. Will have to live with it for now.

Page down/up behaviour erratic
Hi
Anyone getting unexpected behaviour using the Page Down and Page Up keys in the XML editor?
Page Down and Page Up do not work properly in a large table - they scroll to the bottom and top of the table respectively, even though the table spans several page scrolls in the editor.

Re: Perforce Integration
I managed to get Flare 3.1 to bind with Perforce, and it managed files OK. The only issue I found was the remnant flare.exe process on closing.
Can't get Flare 4 to bind to Perforce at all. Neither existing projects nor new projects. Using XP Pro - will try on Vista in the near future.

Re: Fixing the Column Widths in a Table
Kevin -
Can you explain what you mean by "right clicking on the column widths" please? Is this in the Flare interface, and if so, where?
I'd rather not have to modify the html code.
I want to set up my tables like this, for example:
Col 1: 100 px
Col 2: 150 px

Can you remove the icon from a toggler?
I like togglers.
But I don't always want the icon in front. Same for dropspots. If a toggler link is in the middle of a sentence, I think the text formatting is all the identification it needs.
So how do you switch the icon off? Or change it.
And on a related issue, how do you change the ...

Re: Fixing the Column Widths in a Table
As far as I can see, you can't set the width of individual columns - if you specify a column width it is applied to all columns in the table.
If it is possible to define a width in pixels for individual columns, I too would like to know how.
Andrew
