Using concept linking in HTML Help

Hi, does anybody know if there is a way to get concept linking working properly in HTML Help. In other words, instead of the separate dialog box that you get at present, tweaking Flare or HTML Help so that you get a proper pop-up box or even a list of links.

Use of concept linking in HTML Help

Hello,
We are trying to get "concept linking" to work in HTML Help. Or, rather, it is working - but it doesn't look so good. List view is not possible and Pop-up view looks unprofessional. Both work fine and look fine when using WebHelp. Anybody have any ideas? Either an alternative to concept ...

Re: Corrupt TOC and/or Conditioning

I think I've fixed it. It seems like it was a corrupt TOC (whatever that means).
I narrowed it down to one particular folder in the TOC, a folder called admin .
To experiment further, I tried building with just this folder to see if the build worked - and, strangely, it did.
But when the suspect ...

Corrupt TOC and/or Conditioning

To cut a long story short, our 13 MB .chm file that has been working fine for a long time now comes out at 26 MB and won't open (error message: mk:@MSITStore etc...).
We have tried a lot of stuff - probably everything mentioned on this forum - and we now have our project with MadCap support who are ...

Can't trust Analyzer anymore!

There are a number of us working on the same project - but we all have at least Flare 6.0, some of us are at Flare 6.1. We are all running Analyzer 3.0 or 3.1 - with one of us still on Analyzer 2.3. What tends to happen is that one of us runs Analyzer and gets one set of results and then because the ...

How to clear license and registration key

Does anybody know how to clear the license and registration key information from a computer.
I want to uninstall Flare 6 and then reinstall Flare 6 with new license key and re-register.
At present, the computer seems to keep the keys information somewhere - so that when I re-install it just remembers.

Genius - thank you so much. It was that.
The question in my mind is how did it get like that - I am sure I would not have added a 2nd body proxy.

Double content in .chm

This is so odd that I have to keep re-checking to make sure I am not seeing things...
The help topic in Flare looks fine - but when I create my .chm file - each topic's contents is multiplied by 2.
So I get one copy of the topic contents followed by another.
What am I mising here? Has anybody seen ...

Any disadvantage in not explicitely adding a Topic Title

Does anybody know of any disadvantages of not explicitely adding a Topic Title.
I mean, the Topic Title defaults to the heading of the topic and, of course, if you want a different Topic Title then you have to add it.
But if, typically, your Topic Title is the same as the heading of your topic - are ...

Madbuild not building - looking for .dlls

We are running Flare 5 and have been using madbuild for quite a while - successfully.
Recently, it has stopped working. We get the following error messages in the log - the first for HTML Help output, the second for WebHelp.
Any ideas what is going on?

Thanks. We got it working again by:
1) Uninstalling Flare.
2) Running Check Disk.
3) Restarting the computer.
4) Re-installing Flare.

Re: Strange happenings when using variables

Did some more testing...
With Preview, it works as in 1 now, that is, like HTML Help - uppercase and without a space.
Checked the variable set and it looks fine - no duplicates or errors. I checked the code.

Here are some screenshots - in case anybody spots anything.

Has anybody noticed strange happenings when using variables. We are running Flare 5.0.0.
