Re: Including H2s in the Table of Contents
I have just noticed that some of the automatically generated links do not work. In other words, all of my H2s become sub-headings in the TOC - but only some of the links actually work. Out of, say, 20, 15 work (you click them and they go to the H2) whereas the other 5 don't work (you click them and ...

url path to table stylesheet inserted into table tag
When I send topics out for review - XEdit inserts a url path (see below) to the table style sheet into the table tag.
Further, the path that it uses is incorrect - it inserts a "/" before the "Resources" folder. As you can see there are two in the line below - the first is probably from a previous ...

Re: Right-adjust (or tab) a graphic in heading
But will this still work if we already have a background image (left justified) on the heading. The icon being a second 'thing'.

Right-adjust (or tab) a graphic in heading
As you can do in Word, for example, is it possible to add a graphic to, say, the end of a heading and then have the graphic right-adjusted while the heading remains left-adjusted. Or, as an alternative, add a tab (or similar) between the end of the heading and the start of the graphic. Just as extra ...

Re: Importing rows of a table into separate topics
Is there an import command? Or are you saying just move the HTML file into Flare and then try the conversion when it asks to convert to XML?

Importing rows of a table into separate topics
We have a large HTML file containing a table with 300 or so rows. The table has three columns.
Does anybody know if there is a way to import the table into Flare making a separate topic out of each row?
Any tips appreciated.

Thank you so much - it worked. We have been struggling with this issue for quite a while.

Re: Tables cells have too much padding
Looking at the existing style for p, that looks like it could work - see below. We will try. What should we do with the margin entry - the one with 1.12 em 0 - not really sure what it is doing there actually.

Tables cells have too much padding
We use table styles and our tables look like this in Flare. I am aware that we use the p tag in table cells. My understanding is that it has to be so because some cells have more have more than one paragraph and then Flare adds a p tag anyway.

Interesting - missed that. My list is different - where does Flare pick the list up from? Are you running Flare 5?

Re: Graphic appears different on different computers
Fair enough - but just to say of course that HTML Help and the preview functionality in Flare (I guess) must use it - otherwise we wouldn't have got the differences mentioned above.

Re: Graphic appears different on different computers
Well, we seem to have fixed it - we had set a fixed height (Properties>Position>Size pane>Height) on the relevant styles. When set to (default) instead, it seems to work fine. Still seems odd though that there were differences between IE7 and IE6. In other words, it worked on IE6 even without the ...

Re: Graphic appears different on different computers
We have narrowed it down to a difference in browser version - this seems the most likely reason for the differences. My colleague is running IE6 and I am running IE7. The differences show up when we view the help file using HTML Help and when using the Preview function in Flare. I assume that both ...

Graphic appears different on different computers
Hi, we use a little graphic to as part of our H3 (a fading grey box to the left). Oddly, in the Flare preview and .chm file, the graphic looks one way on my colleague's computer and another on my computer - see below. The computers are both fairly advanced laptops and are more similar than they are ...

Re: Table styles - different font colour for headers and rows
Thanks Lisa.
Sorry I think I wasn't clear enough. We are using table stylesheets and we know how to adjust using the table stylesheet page.
However, it seems that we cannot set the header row text font to be different from the row text font. It looks to me like a bug.

Table styles - different font colour for headers and rows
I am not sure if I a missing something here...but it seems that it is not possible to define one font colour for text in the table heading and another for text in the table rows. At least, it doesn't seem possible from the simple table style editing panes. Any ideas?

Help Control styles...
It looks like there is plenty you can do with the Help Controls in terms of style - but, I wonder, does anybody know if you can change the style so that the Help Control becomes a heading followed by a simple list of links - that is always visible. In other words, change it so that it is not a ...

Search hits and search hit colour
1) I have noticed that if I search for something in HTML Help (say, "blue") and then search for something else (say, "red") - if there are hits on a topic for "red" that was also hit for the previous search for "blue", the "blue" hits remain highlighed - even though the current search is on "red ...

Exporting selection of pages to Word
Hi, is there a simple way to export one page or a small selection of pages to Word - for review for example.
I know we can use XEdit for that - but sometimes Word is better as we can track the changes.

Okay, I just spotted the right-click command on the tag blocks pane. That will do.
