I also had .eps files that didn't update and that got cured with a related issue that MadCap support helped me with last week. I wanted to be sure I was happy before I posted.
My other issue was checking out an .eps file, editing in Illustrator, and then I couldn't check the file in with Flare ...

Disappearing .eps images with TFS and Flare 13
I am using Flare 2017 (Ver 13 64-bit) and TFS. I've have managed to get Flare confused about an .eps image. I have checked out the .eps, edited with Illustrator and checked in but somewhere along the line Flare has gone absolutely stupid with a cache of this file. I had this happen once before and ...

Re: Superscript stripped out of cross-reference
Wish it was that easy. Its not a standard character such as the trademark symbol, TM.
Thanks for the suggestion.

Superscript stripped out of cross-reference
I have a trademarked name that has two letters set as superscript. When the name is set in a heading (H1) and then cross referenced, the superscript or any span is stripped out of the link when building the target.
Any solution?

Re: Problem with Preview in PDF option
Found this thread after submitting a bug report. I just moved to 2017(64-bit) from 2017(32-bit). Didn't see this problem in the 32-bit version or Flare 11 or a full build but definitely saw it in 2017. I just uninstalled Reader as I never use it because I'm on a Adobe CC subscription. I think Adobe ...

Re: Workspace already exists
This sounds exactly the problem I am having with Flare 13 and TFS. I have access to Visual Studio but don't know where to make the change. Can anyone point me in the right direction.
I have a call into the developer that administers TFS but would love to tell him I solved the problem.

Re: Attempting to bind to TFS results in error TF50309
The developers that I work with administer TFS and they think I have a server permission problem. It puts me directly between IT that owns the server and the developers that run TFS. I stayed on Flare 11 with VSS because Flare 12, 32-bit had other issues. So much for upgrades.

Attempting to bind to TFS results in error TF50309
Trying to bind Flare 12 to TFS. Used VSS with Flare 11 but Flare 12 is 64-bit. The admin set me up with credentials, server name, and project. When I try to add the server I get the following error:

Re: Build Failed: Target in use by other processes
Haven't done anything to the PDF except open, view, and then close it. Some days I have an Adobe app such as In Design open but yesterday was a pure Flare operation. Had to restart twice. I think finding what touches the PDF will be the key.

Build Failed: Target in use by other processes
I get random occurrences of a PDF failing with the error that the target is in use by other processes. Running Flare 11 on Windows 7. I also have Creative Cloud which seems to be somewhat invasive. My solution is to restart the computer. Has anyone else had this issue or know a solution?

Re: HTML5 Top Nav and Component Default Skins
I did mean the target (told you there is some pilot error). After stepping back and setting up the Madcap Advanced project that comes with Flare 11, I realized what I was doing wrong. I totally missed the fact that the skins were for the inserted proxies and not the default components at the top ...

HTML5 Top Nav and Component Default Skins
I have not been successful with using a Component Default Skin in a Top Nav output. The component skins have been added to the main skin but changes in the component skin don't change the output. For example, changing the background color for the search submit button in the component Search Bar skin ...

Page break for divs in PDF
I'm wrapping images in a div. When I set the divs Page Break Before to Avoid, it doesn't seem to make a difference in PDF generation. The paragraph style in the preceding paragraph only has the Page Break Inside set to Avoid. Any ideas?

Unfortunately, the alias file is part of another output for the same project that will use CSH. I just set the target to ignore the warning. Kind of like the duct tape on the dashboard warning lite.

Skinless output-Alias problems
I am generating a skinless output to produce simple, HTML topic files that will be embedded in the firmware of a device. The device is configured through a browser serving its own configuration pages and the developers have limited the space for the UA to about 250Kb. The target is the HTML5 target ...

Re: HTML Help - blank output
Our training department has reported similar issues twice in the last six months which is two times more than I have seen in the last ten years. If you Google this problem there are lots of reasons and lots of solutions most of which deal with the Registry. Also, there seems to be some anecdotal ...

Word output and minitoc format
I just received my first requirement for Word output. MiniToc refuses to cooperate as far as left/right placement on the page. The output looks as if there is about 1 inch or right margin. Nothing seems capable of moving it to where it should be. I've been able to adjust the text, line spacing, etc ...

Responsive HTML5, tested browsers?
This may be in a Madcap doc but does anyone know what mobile browsers this has been tested with. I tested on an old Android and results were a little twitchy. The current Firefox for mobile seems to be okay.

Re: New V10 Responsive HTML5 Not Working on iPhone?
Not tried it on an iPhone but I have been testing on an older Android browser and its kind of hinky. Doesn't scroll well and doesn't always load a page. It works okay in Firefox and Chrome on the desktop.

Which help format to embedded in a browser enabled device?
