Re: Formatting for drop-down lists
It was a default in div. Once I got the default padding and margins out of the way things started making sense. Thanks for the help!

Formatting for drop-down lists
I'm having trouble with the left margin for drop-down lists. Everything has about 80px to the left that I can't seem to get rid of. It acts like the left margin is being inherited from something. Other than the MadCap | Dropdownxxx tags, are drop-down lists formatted in other locations. I'm working ...

TOC1 and TOC2 overrun in PDF
The generated styles of TOC1 and TOC2 overlap the footer on the page layout for PDF outputs. They are running way outside of the Body text flow. It happens on first, left, and right pages. Normal pages don’t seem to have this overrun problem and I am using the same printed page layout for the TOC ...

Cross-references between projects
Is it possible to add a cross reference between projects. I can add a hyperlink but that won't add a page number when the target is a .PDF.

Re: What constitutes a project?
Thank you for all of the answers. Converting to Flare has been an adventure but I think the end results will be worth it. For the first time in company history we are truly single-sourcing with reusable topics and everything is in source control.

Re: Caution, Tip, Note in HTML output
Thanks for the answers.
I tried the .css from techwriter31 but, I am using an outside-head. That seems to be where it falls apart.

Caution, Tip, Note in HTML output
I've been banging my head against the wall when using "p.note" with auto-numbers to add "Note:" as a hanging indent. I've gone through the following thread which is very helpful but not there yet.

Re: Two table caption styles in addition to print and help
I tried making my PDF the main target but didn't get different results. I'm concentrating on auto numbering.
For my two different types of tables I've added the following code to the tables.css.
For tables
caption

Two table caption styles in addition to print and help
I have been trying to format captions for tables for weeks and cannot find the magic combination. I have traditional tables of tabular data in addition to one cell tables used for illustrations. The captions are colored for on-line and black for print. I have done the following:

Position of table captions
I'm trying to set up Flare for a table caption to be above the table in HTML output and below for a PDF output. Is this possible and if so, how?
My current method is to output my PDF in Frame 8 and the .CHM in ePub. My goal is to move to a single program but tables seem to be a little weak in Flare.

Resolved: Bug with True Type Fonts in Flare 6?
After working with Madcap's support team, this turned out to be Adobe Type Manager Delux or at least the version that I was running. I loaded the free ATM and the fonts work without a problem. Why fonts stopped working between versions is unknown. It could have been my version of ATM Delux but I'm ...

Vector format for old .eps files
I am looking for a solution for replacing the .eps drawings that were previously linked to Frame documents. I have the original AI and Freehand files so saving or exporting to new format is possible. A vector format is preferred for the print output. I have tried the following:

Bug with True Type Fonts in Flare 6?
I'm trying to generate a PDF with Flare 6. For some reason it won't convert Zaph Humanist for the PDF. It works okay in Version 5. Is this a bug or did I miss a new setting.
Its a little annoying as I already had to move from Optima to Zaph Humanist because it is the closest TT font I had.

Re: PDF page layout: Two decoration frames on one page
Thanks for the help. It does work this way. I am just confused as to why two frames can be placed but the content for both does not appear in the final output. I'll just do it as you suggested and get on with life.

PDF page layout: Two decoration frames on one page
Using Flare 5.0.1.
Trying to set up left/pages for PDF output. I need to put static text at the top and a variable at the bottom in addition to running heads and footers with page numbers. I have tried two decoration frames but only one seems to display anything in the final PDF. Any suggestions.

After spending a morning deleting paragraphs until the error went away, I found it seems to be a non-breaking space in an index marker.

Re: non-breaking hyphen getting lost?
Is this still a problem in 5.0.1?
While I am an experienced Frame user I have not used pass-through markers. Does this technique require replacing all non-breaking hyphens with the marker?
