Re: TOC behavior
I think (but am not completely sure) that WebWorks' HTML provided hover text for the items in the TOC - the hover text showed the complete text of the item, rather than automatically scrolling right to show the end of the item. And, I believe you (as author) could control it (on or off).

Re: Problems reloading Flare WebHelp with Firefox 3?
I don't think it's a security issue. FF isn't preventing initial load of the frames - just reload when you click Reload or browse away and back.
The workaround that I found is to put your cursor in the URL field and press <Enter>.

Is this the same as Favorites in the WebHelp skin? (When I look in the Favorites directory (on WinXP), there aren't any from this year...) I'm wondering where the WebHelp Favorites go when you mark them...

Where do Favorites live?
When I mark topics as favorites in IE, they aren't available in FF and they disappear when I rebuild (I think). Where are they stored? How many favorites can I have?

Font changes work in Firefox 3 but not IE 7
Import from Frame 8. Font changes (such as courier for code, blue for keywords) work fine in Firefox, but do not appear in IE. The font changes are character formats in Frame. Other font changes - implemented with paragraph formats - work OK.

Re: Bullet symbols different in Firefox 3 and IE 7
(Preface everything with "Importing from Frame, exporting to WebHelp")
I'm using auto-numbering on a paragraph to create nested lists.

Open WebHelp created with Flare (generated from Frame, but I don't think that matters) in Firefox 3. Click the Reload button (or navigate to another URL - outside help- and back. The left (navigation) frame disappears. reload.jpg

FM print-only xrefs showing up in WebHelp output
I have cross-references in FM that have parts conditionalized for print-only. For example:
fm-xref-issues.jpg
The "in the ...." is conditionalized for print-only.
When I build with Flare to WebHelp, the output (sometimes) looks like:

(R) symbol all wonky
My registered trademark (R) symbol was working just fine. Then I upgraded to FM 8 and re-imported/generated help with Flare. Now, it looks like this (in the imported file and in the generated output):
Æ
It looks fine in FM and PDF generated from FM.
