Re: H1 TOC question
Nope, nothing set anywhere. Although the same thing happens on my cover page. I have 3 lines, all H1 and they broke each on separate pages. When I changed to to H2, they were ok. Here is the code I have set:
h1
{
font-size: 24pt;
font-family: Arial, sans-serif;

What happens when you take out the text box, and just put the image in a <div class="leftAlign">
You could possibly try right clicking on the div block on the left side of the screen and tell it to move up?

H1 TOC question
Hello everyone,
I have the PDF starting to look pretty good. I am really liking the single sourcing aspect of Flare.
The question I have is that I have a TOC proxy for print. I have the words "Table of Contents" in a H1 and have nothing set for my H1 in the CSS other then font and size. When I do a ...

Re: Pictures, single sourcing, and div tags
When I use div tags, I created generic classes called .centerAlign, .rightAlign, and .leftAlign. Then also setup a div class.
If you then highlight your image, click the indent button in the top menu and it will come up with an option to "div" so if you click that option, it will put your pic in a ...

Re: Build-in Flare Analyzer reports are not true to life
When you checked everywhere, did you also look in the code itself? I had that issue when I renamed a bunch of bookmarks, the code from the original was still in the source code.

Re: empty page in topics
That would make sense. I have mirrored pages and will have to look and see what page they end on. Makes sense as to why some show and some do not.
Thanks again,
Andrea

Re: bookmarks expanded by default in PDF output
Also, on a related note, I see that my title page appears as a bookmarked entry (in the navigation area on the left of the PDF)...it appears as " _gen_"
I just figured out why the topic shows up as "_gen_". I had one topic show up like this in my PDF. I revealed all body tags in the print ...

{Solved} Re: caption off page
I went into my CSS for p.figure and started deleting lines out one at a time to see what was affecting the positioning.
I had
p.figure text-align: center
for some reason, as soon as I took that off, it centered under the image. Weird, but it is working.

Re: empty page in topics
The topic files are not blank. Say a file has 2 pages. The first page is what I want, there is just an extra second page. I tried to click the top of the second page and click backspace, but it doesn't delete.

empty page in topics
Quick question for everyone.
I have empty pages in my .htm files (probably from the text editing process) and now I cannot figure out how to delete them. When I do a PDF build, they show up.
Any ideas?

caption off page
Hello.
I am getting closer with regard to my print output. HTML Help shows the image with caption underneath just fine, but in PDF preview, it shows my pictures ok, but the captions are goofy. When the pic is .rightAlign, the text is on the right side and going offpage. When the pic is .leftAlign ...

Re: Title page header and footer
I went into my TOC again and figured out that I had set not only the book, but also the topics within the book. I went in and removed the new chapter break from the topics inside books, and now my figure autonumbers are working as they should be.
Time for another happy dance,

Re: importing XML
One idea would be to create a new topic in Flare. Then right click on the topic and open in xml editor. Then you could just copy and paste the text in. You would have to bring in any pictures separately.

Re: bookmarks expanded by default in PDF output
I initially imported old word files into Flare and have updated them. The bookmarks I have are all used in my captions to be used for cross referencing back to them within the text.

Re: images do not justify correctly
Not only is PDF output easier than Word, but with page layouts, you can get much more professional-looking output from your document, all from the page layout and the CSS style sheet. It is very powerful, and very cool.
I definitely agree with you on that one. The issues I have been dealing with ...

I am using Word 2007 and am having nothing but struggles. I think I'll stick to PDF since it seems to work so much easier.

Re: Title page header and footer
I have only been messing with chapter 1 when it comes to print. The autonumbers are not working in it. However, when I switch to another chapter, all I set was chapter for the cover page, TOC, and the first page of the body, and my autonumbering works just fine.

Re: Title page header and footer
It sometimes helps to set the TOC to list (grid) view so that you can see where you started the chapters. I had a problem that was driving me crazy with auto-numbering because I had missed setting just one book as a chapter.
This is something I didn't realize I could do. I changed to grid mode. I ...

Re: Title page header and footer
The only issue with that is that I do not want it as a global counter. Each chapter needs to start over. It seems to work in some of my chapters, but not others.
