Ok guys, I'm getting very close. I am able to use a complex selector and it will let me do anything besides inherit the width, and madcap is giving me a message telling me CSS: Invalid width: inherit.
I am thinking that it doesn't understand width: inherit in this situation since it will work with ...

Re: Div style question
I would have change each p.figure individually because each of my screenshots range in size. I don't have one set size for the img because some are entire screens, while some are cropped portions, ect.

Re: Div style question
I copied one of my .htm files into a brand new project and tried the complex selector (and deleted out the width in the div tag) and although everything centers, the figure does not inherit the width and still goes out beyond the img.

Re: Div style question
I could, I just had it working at one point where the div width had it working. So if I could fix why it centers without a div width set, I would only have to change my CSS instead of every single screenshot in a huge project. I didn't want to waste my time if it was an easier fix.

Re: Div style question
I have my margins set at auto in the stylesheet already. The reason I have the width specified is because I want the caption to stay under the width of the screenshot.

Re: Div style question
Here is sample of how I have the div tags setup. The entire div tag is currently left align on the page. If I move the style="width: 462px;" from the div tag to the caption (p tag) then the entire div tag centers correctly. Any ideas what I'm doing differently?

Div style question
I have a screenshot with a caption under it. They are both within div tags. I set the div to .centerAlign and it works just fine alone. But when I add the width to the div, it won’t center. Is there something in the CSS that would override a div style?

Re: Why Go to Multiple Projects? - First Impressions
Hello. I currently have 25 seperate flare projects. The good news is that you CAN hyperlink between projects.
The only catch is that you have to have all the projects within the same folder when they are published. I use separate projects because the software is a work in progress and when I debug ...

Re: xref in stylesheet
It doesn't let me place bookmarks infront of the autonumbering. This is how I have it now and how I know it's worked in the past.
Figure 1-1 [bookmark] blah blah blah blah
it was working last week, but now I do not know what I did, but it's not working again.

Re: xref in stylesheet
I have a bookmark directly after the figure and before the caption text. Would that make a difference? I can't click before the figure number, since it is auto generated. When I type {paranum} in the xref, it comes up with the caption text, but {paranumonly} is not finding the figure number.

Re: xref in stylesheet
Ok so then I'll just leave it alone. Either way, I really DO want it to says {paranumonly} as it refers to my captions. The editor shows "Figure 1-1" exactly how I want it, but when I view, it is blank. Now if I put in {paratext} or anything other than {paranumonly}, then it works just fine.

Re: xref in stylesheet
It is the base xref. I am not trying to delete the entire thing out, I just do not want it to say {paranumonly}, I want it blank.
I opened the text editor and deleted everything, so it should be back to defaults, but then it still will not let me delete {paranumonly}
Thanks,
Andrea

Hello there,

Re: image caption question
Hello,
I sent a feature request for captions as well. I have been feeling like I'm the only one who uses captions the way I've been having so many problems with them.

Re: caption text wrapping
After messing around with it for a bit, I kept the screenshot and caption within the same DIV tag, but gave the div tag the exact width of the screenshot so the caption is staying within that spec. Seems to work so far (at least in HTML Help, I don't know about Word yet.)

caption text wrapping
Hello,
I have a caption underneath a screenshot and was wondering how to set the text to not go past the end of the image, but instead to stay under the screenshot image. Is there a way to do this in the stylesheet, or should I specify width in the div tag?
Thanks,
Andrea

Re: xref class as print-only?
Would it make a difference if I am using the main xref class instead of creating a subclass? Maybe I should make a xref.figure or something? Re: xref class as print-only?
I only have it set up for PDF print version. I am wondering if there is a label somewhere that is not set up because everything else seems to work.
