One advantage of HTML5 is that it works in a larger number of OS/browser environments, though if you're app is Windows-only, this isn't a concern for you. Our users run many different flavors of Linux/Windows/Mac, so for us, it's important.

Re: Binding to Subversion + SSH keys
Very interesting, Nita. Thanks for the info. I wonder if SVN versions make a difference? We were using 1.8 client against an earlier server version (1.6, maybe?). Now we're using 1.8 on both client and server. Maybe compatibility was the problem.
Thanks,
Kristen

Re: Binding to Subversion + SSH keys
MadCap Tech Support says they don't support svn+ssh, or at least they don't support PuTTy. But for my team, this is working pretty much as expected. The PuTTy integration is chatty, and it opens and closes a lot of PuTTy and pLink windows, but it gets the job done.

Oh, that's unfortunate. I like the TopNav look, but we're married to the run-time merge for the one project where we could use it.

Problems in PDF in Mac Preview app (copy and search)
My build engineer has run into a couple (likely related) issues when viewing one of the PDFs we generate with Flare; she's running Mac OSX Mavericks. The two problems are:
When she tries to search for a string, it never returns any results, even when the term appears in the PDF.

Quick update on this: once we had our test svn environment set up, checking in was painless.

Re: Setting the favicon in the address bar or tab
Everything seems to be working in production; the one behavior change since we went into production is that in IE11, the default favicon appears for a split second before being replaced by our favicon. It's a little weird, but still an improvement over the behavior before the help system was loaded ...

That's working for me in most browsers (*shakes fist at IE11*). Thanks again, Shawn and Nicolas for your help! I'll report back about any changes in behavior once we go into production.

Re: Setting the favicon in the address bar or tab
Thanks, sdcinvan. I read through that, but hoped to avoid adding more complexity to my projects at this point (we go into production over the weekend). What can I say, I'm an optimist.
Time permitting, I'll take a look at this today and see if we can shoe-horn it in.
Thanks,
Kristen

Hey folks,
I'd like to use a favicon from our corporate web page and got that working in a simple HTML file:

<link rel="short icon" href="http://jaspersoft.com/favicon.ico" />
</head>

That works in my browser, no problem.

So yes, we appear to be running into the problem hornetTC describes. I changed the line to:

Thanks, Nita!
Just to confirm, the one topic in my project that resides directly in the master project is in fact registering pageviews in Google Analytics, so I think we're on the right track.
Thanks for \your help,
Kirsten

Google Analytics code causing 'busy cursor' in HTML5 output
I'm working with our web team to add Google Analytics code to our web content so we can track usage. Our developer gave me the JavaScript code to include in our master page, and I plugged that into our HTML head section. The HTML5 help system compiles without error, but when I view the target's ...

I may be wrong about what I'm about to write, but I think the "it" in this situation is not Flare.
