That's what the "avoid" setting is, basically, a "keep-with-next."

Yeah, I found that changing my stylesheet to "auto" for before and after works best, but then I still have to regenerate the PDF to locate any headings that are at the bottom of a page. Then I have to go back into Flare and apply an "avoid" (before or after) just to that instance, and then ...

They had me remove the "avoid page break" between the table title and the table, as well as any in headings that precede the table. The tables break fine now, but now I have to go through a 700-page book and manually change any badly-breaking headings to ...

I have the <tr> page-break-inside property set to "auto," but my tables will not break across pages. The table begins on the next page, althought there is plenty of room on the preceding page for most of the table.

Any ideas?

When I generate output, I get a message that says:

Linked index term 'term' is not in the index, skipping the link 'My Linked Term'...

I have looked everywhere for this term, including searching the entire project folder. I also used Analyzer to see if it could locate this item.

Update - I submitted the bug and got the following information from Support:

Generally its a timing issue on Flares part. Sometimes if you create a new topic in that directory, it snaps them in order and then you can delete that topic. Its been logged and we are looking into it.

Aha...! I made a copy of the project on my desktop and, no, it does not occur with a local copy. Interesting. Think I'll submit a bug.

Thanks. I already checked that. The folders all appear in the opposite order than their arragement in WE. In WE, the folders are listed from A to Z with the single files following. In Flare, the folders are listed from Z to A with the single files following. Weird, huh?

My content files have suddenly begun appearing in reverse alphabetical order. Does anyone know how to change this?

Thanks, Roy. I also ended up submitting it to support and was informed it is a bug. They said to use the hard returns, as you suggested. In addition, they said that applying formatting (italic, bold, etc.) to the callouts also works.

It is a bug, if for no other reason, than for usability. Not all writers understand graphics. In addition, many people who are migrating from FrameMaker aren't used to having to actually calculate graphic sizes. I think the online help could use an infusion of information on this topic. The Flare ...

By the way... do you know if this is a known bug, or should I submit a report?

I created an 8.5 x 11 graphic and placed it in the background of the "first" page in my page layout, which is also 8.5 x 11. However, the graphic appears smaller, more like 7 x 9. I did not adjust the graphic in any way. Why does it appear smaller in Flare and in the target PDF?

We publish PDFs, primarily. However, we do have a subscription to Feedback Server. Is there some way to allow users to make comments or to rate a PDF document? It seems to me that this could be accomplished by placing a link in the PDFs that takes the user to an online form. Is this doable?

Correction... It appears only on the last paragraph. Let me be a little clearer:

I created a list item with embedded p tags.

If there is just one p tag, the tool appears. If there are multiple p tags, the tool appears only on the last paragraph.
