Has anyone found release notes, or is this a stealth upgrade?

Easily? NOT!

Any conversion from another HAT product is almost always labor-intensive, particularly if the documentation source is heavily formatted and has been worked on by some less-than-accomplished writers.

Make a copy and test converting it, to see what needs to be cleaned up in the source ...

In the Target window (RH Layout), General tab, select a topic in the Startup Topic field. Obviously, you must have previously created the topic.

I just checked the Flare KB, and there is no System Requirements document going back to Flare 5.

My guess, however, is that Flare 5 does not support Windows 7 (especially if using IE 9). You could try IE 8 (with Compatibility Mode off); that might work.

Use a redirect topic for your other TOC location(s).

Create a New topic, make it blank, and add this line in the HEAD section of the code:

Looking back at your initial post, I was struck by: I brought a bunch of TableStyles together from various projects and put them in the TableStyles folder.

Might these be table styles you copied from Flare 7 or older, instead of bringing them in through the Flare conversion process?

No, the class is a Flare-specific reiteration of the style, and should not be blank. For example:

There's no easy way, but this one works.

Create a pre ( pre serve white space) style in your style sheet, such as:
