Formatted Links are not consistent
I have several links on the home page of my online help... as far as I can see all the settings are exactly the same for each with links to various topics within the help project. All looks well... and they ALL show as links until I generate the help. Once I generate, 2 of the links are no longer ...

Re: CONSTANT hanging using Flare 2018
I have noticed similar issues now that I've upgraded. In fact, for awhile, my monitors were going black for a few seconds... so after replacing ALL of my hardware, including my laptop, the problem is now limited just to the Flare window.

TOC - black vs blue entries
This is probably a really stupid question, but OH WELL...
I've built many toc's in the past.. but never had this issue... some of the entries in my TOC are in black text while the majority are blue (see attached)

Thanks... Fortunately, I am familiar with variables in Flare - THEY ARE AWESOME!... my question is more about how to push content from Flare to a website... is it possible?

Is it Possible to Use Flare to Single Source Websites?
Hi,
In learning about why I chose Flare for our HAT, our Marketing Team is particularly interested in the Single Sourcing aspect. There are times when Management can be a little ADD so quickly, so Marketing doesn't have time to even update the website for one change (and collateral), before the ...

Need input on best way to add a "see also" section
Hi,
So I've always had a "See also" section at the bottom of every topic in online help. I need to do that in my newest project, but i'm thinking there is a better say to add it other than having to add it to each topic as I have always done in the past.

so is the URL the same as the identifier? i.e., here's an example of one of our urls: DocuPhase/web/search/Search.aspx
and I want to associate it to the topic "Searching for Documents".
how would this appear in the header file?
Like this?

Confirming Alias vs Header files
So.. I haven't done it in awhile, but i'm just starting to build my csh html project - and ready to start associating topics to URLs in the system. I always found that it was easier for me to work with Aliases for the most part, then make changes to headers only when necessary... but I'm not sure ...

yes... we tried that too, but a lot of the word docs are missing.. like i said, Madcap worked on all the options for days with me... but we never could get all the issues resolved so that the project exported/imported as a cohesive set of files.

Re: Is there a way to Search in a d2h project?
Thanks... I worked with Madcap for days trying to get this project imported into Flare.. I inherited the d2h project and for some reason, it simply won't export everything to XML for import into Flare.. it's a mess.. but it has information in it that i need to use in the Flare project.

Is there a way to Search in a d2h project?
Hi, because i'm unable to import my d2h into Flare (let's not even go there), i would like to be able to find specific information in the existing d2h project. However, I don't see ANY way to do a search/find in d2h like there is in Flare... Ctrl F doesn't seem to do anything...

Drop down arrow image is not only showing
So, I have set a new image for my drop down headings... I've done this before in previous projects at other companies, but apparently, there's some part of the setting I'm forgetting.
I've added padding, but perhaps not in the right place

updated method for adding Home button to Top Nav toolbar
Hi,
I figured out how to customize the existing buttons... and I even managed to add the HOME button itself... when I build, it acts like it's a link (with the pointing finger), but it goes nowhere.
I've tried dropping and dragging the home page link into the "Event" field...
I see that there ...

Re: Images are showing up with Borders in chm
Well... none of the img styles had a border set... so i went thru and set them all to "None" which caused them to show as 2px with 000000 as the color... and that seems to have done the trick!
Thanks, Nita!

Images are showing up with Borders in chm
Using Flare 12, when I generate chm, hyperlinked icons/images in the target are showing with borders. The images themselves have no borders set. I'm not finding any setting that would cause these to be outlined.

Re: Problems using Tables in Drop Down text
Just an update - I was able to create dropdown text with a very complex table containing bullet lists (plural), togglers, and bookmarks - so none of those seem to be the culprit - in fact the tables shown in my original posting are two of the most simple tables I have in my project - nothing fancy ...
