Your Identifers can not have a Hyphen in them, only letters and number and underscores.. Use to be that browsers could not pass a hyphen.

Personnaly I don't recommend opening a project in Flare v5, and then going back to Flare v4 with the same project, it can cause some headaches, but your milage may vary..

IS the path name a Drive letter like N:\my work folder or a UNC Path like \\NetworkName\share\Folder?
if Its a unc, try a drive letter....

Are you allowed to run Flash Apps on your system, Flare uses Flash on startup and it could be that flash isn't running correctly

Safari on the PC and Chrome Work well with the Webhelp, but once in awhile it does some screwy stuff....

in Flare 4.2 try a sample app and see if that is that problem, Could also be a skin issue, use a different skin for testing purposes, if not Open a support ticket,

can you try one of the Sample help projects and see if opens on Windows 2000 with IE 5.5? See if the project or an Issue with Flare Webhelp

Trying opening a different project or a sample project to see if that corrects the issues, If not, I would uninstall Flare and the Dot Net Drivers and then reinstall them.

You could download the trial of Flare v4, and use a copy of the project to see if that corrects the issue,

You may want to use index explorer and see if the page that is using has an index entry in it in the Flare Content Exploer

You could trying to install the DB on your local system to see if its a local issue or network issue

All Content files need to be in the Flare directory, they will not have CSS applied, nor will they be in the search if you are doing webhelp

If this wast he compiled help file, Then I would try a sample help file and see if that opens, if it doesn't open or the same error, I would reinstall Dot Net Drivers

you may need to edit the skin also for your localiztion, plus flare does have lot of langaue specific skins too

If you have feedback server it will tell you how often a page is vistied, but Google Analytics is another way to go and its free, it just requires you adding some JavaScript into a masterpage.
