Re: Can I generate Eclipse Help from Madcap Flare?
Currently Flare doesn't support Ecliplse Help, but the more people who request it the better the chance they will add it.
In my past role in support, there was a client who took webhelp and with there developer made it into eclipse help, but it wasn't easy

Madbuild does not connect to sourcecontrol you would need to create a batch file to pull it out of source control manually

Yes you should be able to get rid of those files and create new .h files, The header files have no effect on the CHM itself, so getting rid of them and creating news one will work for you

Re: What's the single biggest Flare project you've had to manage
Back in my support days, I had seen a customers project with 13,000 topics in it, and Flare did fairly well with it, but the biggest Robohelp Project I had seen was close to 22000 topics, and could only generate as webhelp, the CHM compiler would crash..

Creating new images would be the most dramtic changes, In a previous Knowledge base, we had actually changed the accordian buttons to images instead of just lables, you can do an awful lot in the skin

Re: Merging Flare CHMs into master RoboHelp project
Part of the problem is that robohelp creates the chm using different names for the internal files of the chm then flare does so mergeing will be difficult

Re: Accessing Flare over a network, rather than local install
Flare and citrix can work. But the application needs to be installed on each machine in order for it to work. Flare can be installed on your primary machine and a laptop or home machine as long as they are not running at the same time

I agree hit print screen anytime you are sure you want the shot, its better to have too many screen shots, then not the right one, With Mimic or Captivate, I was always a Manual recorder type of guy!

Re: Possible to lose rank?
Depends on how they cleaned up the forums, its possible to clean remove posts and have those posts removed from your count, its just the setting that madcap used. When I use to clean up the Forum, I never it had removed the count of posts.
