If A Topic is set to more than one Condition, and Include will always over ride an Exclude.

I have seen issues with the HTML viewer not always playing SWF images, depends on how your IE browser security is set, This is because the HTML help viewer is so old, it predates the idea that anyone would want to put in a video clip

Some Webservers allow you to put an ICO file in the root of the page, and the Browser will see it, no need to change Flare files at all..

Why are you using MOTW? Is the End result of the files going to be on the users local system? If not, I would Just turn MOTW off

If the FLV is in the Project files, you could Insert Image, and Change it to point to the FLV, ,may not look pretty thou

Capture is quite good and the way it works with Flare is great, Snagit has it good points also, but Capture and Mimic are very easy to use if you like the flare interface

I have seen if you install microsoft html help workshop it will unregister the dll, Also other help authoring tools can do that also.

You can create your own buttons, and then on the Onclick action you can have it run a java script that you create that will direct you to what ever website you want.

I know in the past that Madcap Won't support Beta version of Browswers or other programs as they are too much in Flex, and they can change so dramatically, so I wouldn't use TFS 2010 Beta.

Since windows 7 is really just a Newer version of Vista, almost all programs will still work fine with it, and I haven't had any problems with Flare and Windows 7

I beleive you can delete the tooltip text, and that way it won't appear

The topics still won't look great if you look at the code, but it should work for a small project. Index entries will be gone also

Use a page layout that has draft in the background, and then when you are ready for the release version change the page layout to a different one...

There are some older unix based webservers where case does matter, but for most websevers you are ok with mixing lower and upper case
